Disappointed in Mercure’s failure to maintain and invest

Old dishes and glasses from room service left in hall for two days
Corridors dirty
Paint chipped
Mercure fails to invest in upkeep and maintenance/ it could at least have painted the front door which once would have been handsome

Staff - questioned incorrectly about our bill. Showed staff our credit card statement but had to wait whilst all paper accounts from all rooms were pulled out and gone through to find ours. Mistake still not initially realised and when pointed out a very brief apology made. Very embarrassing for us as customers

Enjoyable stay no issues , ate and slept very well
Pros:

Location is great , staff very friendly, food really good and I had a bath in my room 👍🏼

As previously stated in other reviews the hotel is a bit tired but that’s it

The wardrobes didn't close properly.
The room could have had more main light in there.
