Location was great for town
Staff were not friendly on arrival. Bed was uncomfortable and decor quite dated.
Very spacious room and huge bed.
There was a bath and shower. However, I am 5ft tall and there was no way to reach the bath taps to run a bath without getting into the bath. This strikes me as ridiculous and probably unsafe for us older guests.
Coming from the station, Google Maps guided us to the back door of the hotel, which was a bit disappointing at first glance, but it was just a side street and just a back door; entering it opened up to a completely different, elegant world.
Very helpful and professional staff in the front desk and in the breakfast restaurant.
THE BEST EVER choice of cold and hot dishes for breakfast (fresh vegetables, fresh fruit: even strawberries and blackberries; crispy, freshly baked pastries... what ever I could dream about.)
It's a shame that our travel plan didn't allow us to stay here longer. A normal nice hotel, there is nothing to complain about.
There were no power sockets close to beds... but; is it truly necessary!? You can sometimes leave your mobile alone on the table for charging. 😀

Location was excellent, looking out over the Union Terraces. Staff very friendly; bar and bistro were great.
Facilities were clean except for the window sills, which were cleaned one of the days during our stay.
All in all I would rebook again in future, but would follow up more promptly with the staff re fixing windows, etc
The sash windows were very hard to open and close (no aircon), with the right-hand one's latch bent out of shape. There was quite a bit of noise from nearby clubs - closing the windows helped a bit, but it made the room quite hot.
The room's mobile fan supplied was too loud to run at night.
Breakfast was very good.Staff were always polite and helpful.
The rooms not just the bedroom were very dated and carpets in most places were getting thread bare. Needs a revamp.
