L'ambiente nel suo complesso.

L’emplacement est au cœur d’un grand domaine boisé près d’Amboise.
Le parc est superbe, avec une exposition intéressante.
La chambre est très belle avec une très grande chambre et une petite chambre, partageant une salle de bain.
Le petit déjeuner est délicieux.
Il faisait torride la nuit, car pas de climatisation.
De nombreux moustiques ont rendu la nuit très longue !
Les plats du restaurant sont simples.
Pas d’eau chaude le premier jour.
Schitterend sfeervol kasteel, prachtig gelegen in een mooi park. Fijn zwembad waar je kunt ontspannen op ligbedden. Bij het zwembad is eigen sanitair. De auto's van de gasten kunnen buiten het zicht geparkeerd worden waardoor het oude kasteel niet ontsierd wordt. Royaal bed dat niet te hard of te zacht was. We sliepen in een hoekkamer op de tweede etage. Er is een lift aanwezig. Mooi uitzicht op het landschapspark vanaf de kamer. Ruime kamer. Bijzonder was dat de toilet in een klein torentje was aan de buitenkant van het kasteel, zoals in de middeleeuwen dat gebruikelijk was.
Het ontbijt werd keurig netjes uitgeserveerd. En 's avonds kun je desgewenst in het kasteel dineren. Het personeel is heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk.
Er was een gratis expositie in het landschapspark en de kelders van het kasteel. Deze ging over het menselijk lichaam en wetenschap. Een echte verrassing.
Tours is vlakbij en zeker een bezoek waard.
We hadden de pech dat de elektriciteit uitviel door een overbelasting in de naastgelegen kamer. Men had niet meteen in de gaten dat ook in onze kamer geen stroom was.
Beautiful property and amazing staff.
No air conditioning anywhere. I realize that it’s an old property and that it’s difficult to install air conditioning. But maybe want to explore options. Global warming is making it hotter and a fan may not be enough. We were fortunate that the day would start out cool but being in a room or common areas during mid day is sometimes uncomfortable.
Das Hotel befindet sich in einem alten Schloss und ist ein wunderschönes Gebäude. Es braucht zwar an einigen Stellen etwas Renovierung, aber daran wird bereits gearbeitet. Der Garten und das Gelände sind ebenfalls sehr schön und gepflegt – man kann dort wunderbar spazieren gehen. Wir waren im Nebengebäude untergebracht und die Zimmer waren groß und gut ausgestattet.
Leider war der Pool geschlossen. Obwohl im Wetterbericht angekündigt wurde, dass es sehr heiß werden würde, habe ich das Hotel genau deshalb gebucht – um den Pool bei 37 Grad genießen zu können. Bei der Ankunft wurde uns gesagt, dass der Pool nicht aufgefüllt worden sei und man keine Zeit gehabt hätte, ihn vorzubereiten. Das fand ich wirklich schlimm, weil auf der Website nicht erwähnt wurde, dass der Pool außer Betrieb ist.
Auf der Website stand außerdem, dass das Restaurant geschlossen sei – obwohl es geöffnet hatte. Insgesamt wirkte das sehr schlecht organisiert, aber zum Restaurant komme ich gleich noch.
Ich war wegen des Pools wirklich sehr enttäuscht und wollte sogar wieder abreisen, aber das wollte ich meinem 80-jährigen Schwiegervater nicht antun. Bei einem Spaziergang habe ich dann gesehen, dass der Pool noch renoviert wurde. Er war also nicht einfach nur nicht aufgefüllt, sondern tatsächlich noch geschlossen. Das Hotel wusste offenbar, dass der Pool für die heißen Tage nicht fertig werden würde, hat dies aber nicht auf der Website kommuniziert.
Zum Restaurant: Auf das Abendessen haben wir verzichtet, dafür haben wir das Frühstück ausprobiert. Das Frühstück war teuer und leider nicht gut. Der Service war ebenfalls sehr langsam und chaotisch. Alles wurde einzeln gebracht, sodass wir nicht richtig gemeinsam frühstücken konnten.
Die zusätzlichen Eier, die wir einen Tag vorher bestellt hatten und für die ein Aufpreis berechnet wurde, haben sehr lange gedauert – obwohl sie nicht günstig waren. Dann kam noch ein halb rohes Spiegelei. Das Rührei meines Mannes und meines Schwiegervaters kam erst etwa 15 Minuten später.
Außerdem standen auf dem Flur des Hotels noch Putzmittel, Lappen und Staubsauger herum. Insgesamt wirkte alles sehr chaotisch.
Das Hotel hat großes Potenzial, wird aber leider so schlecht gemanagt, dass es traurig ist, das zu sehen.

Måltiderna var medelmåttiga, frukost var ok men middagen lite väl enkel även om kostnaden var låg.
Beautiful château gardens and woodland, lovingly maintained and full of character. From reception to the restaurant, the staff are warm, welcoming and clearly proud of both the château and its remarkable heritage.
We particularly enjoyed the current exhibition and the extraordinary walled kitchen garden, where the head gardener and the owner act as custodian to more than 780 varieties of tomato – a truly unique feature.
The facilities are outstanding, including a superb 20m swimming pool and tennis court, and we quickly felt at home thanks to the kindness and professionalism of the team.
Breakfast and dinner were both excellent, with attentive service throughout our stay.
A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Loire Valley.
Sixth time here and the arrival and discovering your new room is always special!

La habitación olía a cerrado por lo que parecía que no se ventilaba mucho y al ser alérgicos no pasamos buena noche en la habitación . Al pagar lo que pagas debería aunque sea no darte alergia.
