The location was absolutely great, central as promised by the hotel. Made for a great way to get into the centre of Carlisle
The room location was a huge trek from the lobby which limited enjoyment of the hotel. Facilities in the room were middling, a few like the shower and tv didn’t fully work so we had to adapt a fair bit. There wasn’t any decor in the room and the maze to find it made it feel a bit forgotten about. Don’t know if other rooms are similar, perhaps they are better given the reviews we had seen prior to our stay but it wasn’t really reflected in our own.
Great location
Great price
Overlooking Main Street which can be a bit noisy at weekends - ear plugs were provided (thank you) but proved unnecessary.
Prime central town location full access to the whole city from the heart.
Such a relaxing homie atmosphere, grand luxurious staircases and communal areas.
The rooms literally couldn't be any bigger there is so much space. Personally iv been back to this hotel 4 times and stayed for a minimum of 5 nights each visit and iv stayed in a variety of rooms and all have been the size of a mannor house living room couldn't be more pleasantly surprised.
As far as value is concerned take my money. I don't think they charge enough for everything that this hotel has to offer.
It is extremely clean and tidy and I have noticed throughout the day staff will always sweep and mop the entrance way to keep up the cleanliness of the hotel.
With it being central town I really thaught I would hear more noise but iv not been woken a single night or even noticed any loud noise inside its been really quiet.
The main thing I really want to get across and the thing I stand so strongly by. The reception staff literally go above and beyond to help guests. There hasn't been a request and iv had a few that they haven't been able to assist and help me with they have absolutely forfiled my every wish. From a new TV remote to the endless supply of teabags and milk pots. Even assist with the transportation and storage of luggage. All with a smile.
I'd like to mention a couple of staff I'd like to thank them being Dale, nico, Sophie for being wonderful and helpful.
All in all I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to all.
Excellent location, Friendly staff, clean, parking, although you need to pay for it when it was free last year..breakfast was ok although a tad overpriced and some selections were empty but they refill if u wait..all in all the rooms are decent for there price point
It is noisey outside but they do tell you that. It didnt bother me but def be aware..Toilet took a few attempts to flush. Bit stingy with the tea and coffee
Great situation and VERY, VERY NICE staff
The bath was a bonus
Breakfast was fresh and enjoyable
Lovely clean bedding towels changed on request...ensuite bathroom..mattress exceptionally comfortable and private carpark at back of hotel....centrally located for city centre...shops/pubs/restaurants and train station just across road
..
Could have fixed towel rail in bathroom..and radiator not working -had heater in room however.
Room was comfortable and warm
The bathroom was needing an upgrade
Room size and breakfast and price
Hotel is tired and it is a long walk to our room but not a problem for us.
Excellent location. Good breakfast included in price.
Only one bedside lamp which wasn't working, although this was rectified by staff the next day. Lift not working.
Close to your needs for the town
The location even though it’s got a restaurant on site there is so many places with in walking distance of the hotel
Can’t think of anything
