Overpriced, lousy breakfast, extra changes
Pros:

The hotel is very overpriced.
The breakfast was ridiculous - slow, limited. This was not a buffet, but a set meal, with no selection. The kitchen is on another floor.
For a Business trip, as I was, should have definitely stayed at Hilton nearby.
I like Hyatt in general and have stayed in many Hyatt's over 35 years, but within Hyatt properties this is definitely close to the bottom.
A $300 extra is charged at check-in for some imaginary "incidentals", although I have clearly stated that I will not be using any incidentals or will pay for them separately. The policy is more severe than other Hyatts where I have stayed.

Hugo the Concierge
Pros:

We family of 3 just stayed 4 nights at the Hyatt Centric in Santa Monica we had a great few days all the staff were very helpful especially Hugo the concierge gave us some great tips for restaurants and bars and he arranged a private tour for us to do all the tourist stuff and we could Taylor it to what we wanted to see and how long we could spend at each stop it really made our 1st time in LA special thanks again from the Hennessys

Great Stay
Pros:

Location is great 15-20 min walk to Santa Monica Pier, great breakfast spots on Main St. 8 min drive to Venice Beach, still walkable. Relaxed atmosphere. Rooms were clean and spacious. Nice pool area off the restaurant. Overall value great. Best part of the stay was the service from the front desk receptionists and manager. Starting with Cynthia the manager so very helpful with my reservation, and Ana and Tracy who provided excellent service, polite and ever so will to help with recommendations and any other issues. Always smiling and greeting you. Valet attendants were polite and very fast and again always greeting you with a smile.

Considerate and amazing staff made my wife's birthday weekend unforgettable and no where near the price I expected.
Pros:

The location was perfect, even 60% view on the balcony was the city with a gorgeous ocean finish. They left a birthday card and fresh fruit for my wife which created a special atmosphere. Room was perfect, central location. Very clean and very little noise(I'm a light sleeper).
Thank you all at the front desk and assisting staff. We were greeted with smiles at every turn.

Clean hotel and friendly staff
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay! The first impression made all the difference—Tracey at check-in greeted us with a warm, friendly smile and made both us and our dog feel genuinely welcome. Her courtesy and hospitality set the tone for a great experience. Thank you, Tracey, for going above and beyond to make us feel at home. We look forward to staying here again!

Lovely Santa Monica stay!
Pros:

Loved the big room, comfortable beds. cleanliness, nice decor, friendly staff and swimming pool.

Cons:

Wish breakfast had been included. Would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in room.

Recibimiento del personal, especialmente el señor que e tragaba las bicicletas y los candados, un señor bajito, muy servicial y que no paraba de trabajar todo el día.
