So fun relaxing and safe!
Pros:

It was beautiful, SAFE and perfect. It was in the middle of everything I loved it! No Ubers or anything were needed. So much fun.

Cons:

Sometimes the elevator was wonky :/

Wish we could have stayed longer!
Pros:

Absolutely stunning! Great location. The hotel smells fantastic!

Cons:

The bar directly across the street had a very loud live music going on outside until 10 PM. But it stopped right at 10pm thankfully.

No accountability or respect for their guests!
Pros:

Very unhappy with my and my wife's experience at this hotel. Aside from all the little negatives we experienced at the hotel the most damaging was the destruction of my car door handle. I spoke to the valet about it once it was discovered and their response was they had no idea how my 2020 luxury SUV's door handle was ripped off the door, but it may be because where they typically store the vehicles is in an unsupervised lot somewhere away from the hotel. As one of the previous guests stated in their review about the security at the hotel, the valet is provided through a 3rd party contracted company and the hotel itself claims no responsibility for anything they do. So basically the hotel's response, along with the valet company, was "sorry, but not our problem...though you entrusted us with your stay and your vehicle's storage". Absolutely no accountability or respect for their guests. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone as they have NO integrity or commitment to putting their customer's first!

A GEM on State Street Promenade
Pros:

I adored this property. Chic with Old World Charm. Exceptional staff, beautiful rooms. Not one detail overlooked. Fantastic room amenities. Lobby bar, gym and easy access to shops and restaurants on the Promenade.

Fabulous hotel on State in santa barbara
Pros:

Wow—what a fabulous hotel and exceptional customer service! From the moment you arrive at valet to the time you depart, every detail is handled seamlessly. The valet team was prompt and efficient, quickly delivering items to the room. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were consistently helpful and friendly throughout the stay.

The guest rooms were beautifully done—comfortable, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. Having lived in Santa Barbara before, I was especially impressed by the transformation of this property. The 2025 remodel is stunning. The designer did an incredible job preserving the historic charm while introducing a modern, elegant feel inside. The color palette is calming, and the finishes are sophisticated and well-appointed.

Thank you for such a wonderful experience—I would absolutely return!

Would definitely recommend to others, look forwarding to coming back.
Pros:

Loved how the property was in the middle of everything and you are able to walk to the stores, restaurants, or cafe’s. Valet parking was quick to check in and gives you peace of mind leaving your vehicle at night. Staff was very friendly and accommodating as well!
