Avoid at all cost- a nightmare from checking in to checking out!

Cons:

We booked a 27m² room with a bathtub and sea view at what we expected to be a reputable Crowne Plaza property. What we got was a completely different, smaller room with a shower instead of a bath and no sea view — falsely presented to us as an “upgrade.” That alone should tell you everything about how this hotel operates.

Check-in, which was supposed to be at 3:00 PM, dragged on until 4:30 PM with zero communication. At reception, we waited an unreasonable amount of time while staff were simply unable to help us. When we escalated to the duty manager (Karine), she was dismissive, unhelpful, and frankly had a toxic attitude toward guests who were simply asking for the room they had paid for.

Once we finally got to the room, things got worse. It was filthy — stained towels, hair on the bed extending down to the mattress protector, an uncleaned bathroom, and a dirty floor. The furniture was worn down, doors were scratched, and the hallway carpet was stained, showing a total lack of basic upkeep across the property. The fridge was old, loudly rattling all night, and had a giant block of built-up ice inside — clearly never cleaned or serviced.

Then came the cockroach. A massive one, in our room, at night. I had to trap it under a glass myself because reception wasn’t even answering the phone. I had to go downstairs in person to get anyone to deal with it, and it still took around 30 minutes for someone to show up.

To top it off, the room was on a family floor with children knocking on doors constantly, plus a staff office next door with a door slamming all night. We got no rest whatsoever — and at 6:30 AM, staff were moving furniture nearby, guaranteeing we couldn’t even sleep in the morning either.

Agradable pero costoso
Pros:

La ubicación frente a la playa es perfecta, las habitaciones son cómodas pero un tanto antiguas, el servicio del hotel es muy bueno, recomiendo el spa.

Cons:

Mal olor en la zona para acceder a la playa. El hotel no es como aparece en las fotos, la fachada esta un poco deteriorada, seguramente por la salinidad. En relación a precio - calidad esta un poco costoso.

Unfortunately this is a significant error, and it should have been corrected while I was at the hote

There was an additional transaction of $2300! They claimed they had to do a "pre-authorization". I described to them that it hit my credit card. They also charged me VAT when I am not an Israeli citizen. The total overcharge was over $3K. Although the room was fantastic this amount of overcharge had an significant impact on my decision never to stay at this hotel again.
