Pros:

I stayed at this property several times about 25 years ago. It is typical of the Springfield area with surrounding restaurants and businesses shuttered. It is surrounded with low end porn video shops and a huge strip club as anchor tenants. The employees were great, but they should look for employment in some other city out of Illinois before the last business leaves and turns out the lights.

Reserved a king with a bathtub, got a queen with a cracked bathtub that had rust and what seemed to be dried conditioner stuck to the wall. Behind the door was a dirty Q-Tip and there are stains on the right side of the couch. Had it not have been so late in our drive, we would have eaten the cost

We enjoyed the room, the peaceful space on the roof to look out over the area. Breakfast was the best in a Hotel I've ever had, the bar was a nice space for evening relaxing.
Apon arrival we were told that the air-conditioning had just been repaired and it would take a while for the room to cool. We stayed 2 night and it never went below 75 in our room. We were offered our money back but decided to stay. We understand things are uncontrollable sometimes but took longer then expected to cool the room, this is why I didn't give it excellent. Would definitely stay again!

Pros:

During my stay, the AC and water was not working due to a sewage line break by the city down the road. The GM at night was pretty rude about the information when I checked on the issue because my room was 78°. They did give me bonus points when I had to ask a third time the next day about the AC. The front desk worker was very nice and very polite. I believe his name was Ben. But again, I believe the GM at night would have been courteous and understanding I would have provided a much better review even though the hotel could not provide the services required of

Pros:

I was not able to take a bath their was some type of stain in the tub and when I called about it they send some man who stated it was a hardwater stain and it could not be cleaned and suggested I take a shower instead. But as a whole it was ok considering they were experiencing air condition problem.
