The Kensington Hotel

We loved this hotel! William greeted us as we checked in, and instantly made us feel welcome. Rooms were spotless and comfortable and all the staff were very nice. Would HIGHLY recommend!!!

This is my second visit, and I'd make it my go to place in Ann Arbor. Room is excellent and service by Abrar & William was stellar.

William went above and beyond to help me find a room that met my expectations. He and Joe tried so hard. I had mold in my vent and they moved my room immediately so they could clean it. The hotel itself is extremely humid. So there were things they could definitely take better care off. William and Joe-They would be the main reason I would stay at Kensington again. When I missed a shipped package, I called and they took care of the return! Above and beyond! William is the goat. There were service managers and an awesome guy bartender that was super friendly. They made sure to put coffee out early in the morning for us.

My go to whenever I'm in Ann Arbor.

The location

I stayed for two nights while I took my medical boards exams. The staff was amazing to helping stay calm and relaxed and it was very quiet. The restaurant in the morning was amazing the food was great and hit the spot.

All of the staff, from the front desk to the banquet team, were remarkable, kind, and incredibly attentive. We hosted a work conference at the hotel and used both the meeting facilities and guest rooms. Everything was comfortable, well organized, and made our event run smoothly.

I also had the chance to enjoy the gym, pool, hot tub, and sauna, which were the perfect way to unwind after a full day. I had a great meal and beverage at the restaurant, and the service there was just as wonderful.

We will definitely be back! A special shout-out to William at the front desk, who was especially friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home.

First time in Ann Arbor and this location was convenient on the commercial highway, plenty of parking, and near lots of restaurants and shops- Harvest Market for groceries and water, Macys, etc - all the major chains. About 10 minutes drive to UMich.

Fabulous staff! A nice cheerful welcome by the two gentlemen at the front desk, one who used to work hospitality in Rome, gave us small bottles of water, offered champagne toast, presented a run down of amenities and wristbands for the pool.

Rooms were comparable to Holiday Inn. Basic and just enough for a quick stay. Bathroom was dated, small, toilets low, but clean. If you are a family of 4, need to ask for extra towels, as they only stock 3. Hallway carpet appears new, but the room carpets could use a refresh or a deep clean.

I had my wedding here on June 27, 2026, and it was truly the most wonderful experience. From the moment we toured the venue to the moment I walked down the aisle, everything exceeded our expectations.

The staff was incredible, and Ashley was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire planning process. She made the months leading up to the wedding so easy and stress-free. She was always responsive, answered every question I had, and never once made me feel like I was bothering her.

On our wedding day, Melissa and James completely exceeded our expectations. They were always one step ahead, making sure everything ran seamlessly so we could simply enjoy every moment. Their attention to detail and support made our day feel effortless and absolutely perfect.

Every staff member we interacted with was kind, professional, and genuinely helpful. The guest rooms were wonderful, the food was delicious, and the overall experience was everything we could have hoped for.

Choosing this venue was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. I couldn’t recommend it more—10/10!

It had such an elegant, unique atmosphere and decor and the staff was exceptional! We felt like we stepped back in time- before cookie-cutter, chain hotels were the norm.
