Good location next to the railway station, bus stops, and taxi drivers' gathering spots. Old town starts from where the hotel is. Various restaurants and cafes in the 15 minutes walking radius.
Breakfast was pretty ok. We had 2 days of breakfast in the hotel, and 2 mornings in the city. Choice is good, everything is fresh, staff works fast.
Reception was responding well.
The bed is awful. The advertised double bed is actually 2 twin beds pushed together. Staying with my partner was terrifying because we always fell between the mattresses that were sliding to the sides. Last night I already spent on painkillers. This is where stays with Scandic is ending for me as a client. Regarding average prices around, and value for it in Gdansk, I would get something better. But, unfortunately, I thought that “No way that Scandic would do this with double beds”. When I saw that the beds are stationary and connected underneath, I understood it is just their permanent solution for the beds.
