Local to why I needed to stay there
I felt the reception staff were a bit judgemental of us us when we checked in a BLACK MAN and MIXED ASIAN WOMAN I sensed their whole persona on check in....Whilst they didn't say anything body language and whispering amongst each other speaks volumes. I am 52 yrs of age and know what I am speaking about also come from a hospitality background was sales exec for IHG Crowne Plaze NEC yrs ago
The staff in all departments was spot on, breakfast ladies were very helpful and friendly, best hotel staff we have found for a long time,will defiantly be back. 5*****

Love staying at this hotel when attending the race's.
Some areas looking a little tired.
Had a 2 night break, for my aunties 75th birthday.
Staff were outstanding, they even left a card for her, in her room and we were all treated to a free glass of prosecco. Tess and Jackie were delightful could not be more helpful. At the end of their long shift they would come and have a natter. And as hotel is attached to the race course it catered for my auntie not being so mobile. Rooms where clean, spacious and a comfortable temperature. Breakfast was lovely and catered for vegans.

Welcoming and clean
The security for the car park. Front dear staff very helpful and accommodating. Lots of space to park. Very friendly staff and breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious 😋. Had a horse show on during the day. Clean and tidy. Rooms were clean and comfortable as well.

Stayed for a night on the 25th April, it was fantastic, room was a little tired, but clean and functional, the stand out thing about this Hotel is the staff, everyone of them was exceptional, friendly, smiling and just appeared to be actually enjoying their jobs. The Breakfast was lovely, hot , fresh and plenty to choose from, we only chose this hotel because it is right next door to the racecourse, where we enjoyed a meal in the restaurant there and again the food and staff were excellent. We will definitely return when the horse racing is on. Special mention for Jackie who served us at the bar, funny, friendly and a super nice person, Holiday Inn you have an absolute treasure in Jackie, look after her.
