A decent hotel with a spacious room and comfortable beds. The amenities are what you'd expect from this type of property. Breakfast is nothing special—just the typical American standard.
Easy to access location with plenty of restaurants and retail around. Safe, well lit with plenty of parking. Breakfast was plentiful, tasty and staff was very friendly.
Unfortunately, this was the least enjoyable Homewood Suites we have stayed at. The sheets were stained and wrinkled, there was hair on the bathroom floor, and the room did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned. Additionally, the plumbing fixtures in the tub appeared to have been poorly caulked, leaving the repair looking very unprofessional and botched. Overall, the condition of the room made our stay uncomfortable and disappointing.
On a positive note, the location was very convenient, there was plenty of parking, and the staff was friendly. However, the cleanliness and upkeep were well below expectations, and for that reason, I would not recommend this hotel.
The location and setup of room
Screaming kids in the pool and the rude people talking loud on their phone
Very clean and convenient to where I had to be
Had a little problem with the tv but the maintenance man saved the day
Breakfast was good and the hostess was wonderful. Pool was nice but there were no towels on towel rack. Very friendly staff
The light switch for the shower/toilet room should be in the room and not outside. You have to turn on the light switch before going in and then the bright light goes into bedroom area. Bath tub stopper wasn’t working for the kids to have a bath
Love the area
Nothing really
Marie and Elizabeth at the front desk were both so nice.
Sausage was too salty.
The lady during breakfast time (not Marie) was condescending. She questioned my adult nephew why he was toasting 2 bagels at the same time. Why? Is she rationing and monitoring all the breakfast items?
Maybe customer service retraining is needed.
My favorite location when visiting Maple Grove Raceway.
It’s close and convenient location to the University.
The floors/carpet felt dirty, our windows were unlocked. The breakfast is subpar - sausages were extremely rubbery and chewy, eggs were ok.
The first thing was a roach in the room which was reported immediately. A picture shown to the front desk, Elizabeth and she informed me the Manager would be in touch with me. That never happened. Then it was noted that the lights in the bathroom sink area were not working. Eric was very helpful and even after replacing the bulbs it was not working, we left and came back and he got it working. On the third day I asked for housekeeping as the garbages were overflowing and we wanted fresh towels. We got some fresh towels after waiting 5 1/2 hours from 5pm to 1030pm for some to dry. Apparently the hotel has zero extra towels available.
Housekeeping came on the 4th day and took the clean towels that were hanging up and the dirty towels on the floor. More bugs spotted and reported, still no manager contact.
The pool was over run with non-staying guests. I watched as people would come in their suits from their cars, get in the pool and then leave in their wet suits. Main lobby bathrooms were deplorable. Breakfast lady on our last morning was screaming at everyone (even though it was justified). There is no control in this hotel so a lady was spraying whipped cream directly into the mouths of her daughters contaminating the dispensers. Seeing more of a manager presence maybe would have fixed some of the guest issues.
It appears the staff is burnt out from dealing with the chaos caused by the people staying there. The hotel is showing signs of wear without upkeep. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend this location to others.
The pool, breakfast and staff very accommodating.
No tub.
Homewood was such an amazing experience! All the rooms were clean, Breakfast was great. Also staff was willing to help they had great customer service. Definitely will book again!
Breakfast was good. Cleanliness was good. Parking was good. Staff ok, not overly friendly, just there doing their job.
Price too high for what was received. Think this hotel is a little overpriced.
Minor issues.
Had to ask for blankets for pull out bed and had to go downstairs to get them.
Handicap person in our party, with breathing issues, was put in suite at end of a long hallway causing shortness of breath.
Location, and the suites are a generous size.
The card reader on my door didn’t work, and they tried using other cards to no avail. I was forced to go the front desk and ask them to open it for me every time I went out and came back. It turned out to be a broken lock and they were unable to fix it or move me to a different room as supposedly all rooms were occupied. I was not offered any kind of compensation for the inconvenience. The property has gone downhill since my last stay a few years ago and is now overpriced for what you get.
The price was on the expensive side.
Everything
I enjoyed how it was child friendly.
