Never Again
Pros:

check out

Cons:

we did not get the room that we booked. The room smelled damp and musty like mold or mildew. The bed linens for the sofa bed were dirty and stained. We were charged $20 per day for parking in thier parking lot. Only one elevator worked so it was very inconvenient when 3 tour busses of people showed up. Overall just very dirty and run down. I expected better from a Hilton Hotel. I could have rented an Air B&B house for the price of the two rooms.

Pros:

The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Cons:

We had to pay 20 dollars a night for parking. The breakfast wasn't good. Instead of a a one time 50 dollar deposit it was 50 a night.

Very Disgruntled Guests!
Pros:

Our family stayed for the night at this location and it was a below average experience compared to what we are used to at Holiday Inn. When entering the hotel, it is a grand view with lighting and seating looking spectacular! My children were amazed, even taking pictures of the lobby! However this was deceiving, as the room we were in (room 530), did not match the spectacular lobby.

Upon check in, we were advised there would be a parking fee of $20 and an early check in fee of $25. While waiting in the Lobby to avoid the check in fee (after they advised us our room WAS IN FACT READY) for check in), we encountered a cockroach crawling on the wall over the table, and an overwhelming putrid odor in the women’s lobby bathroom. Additionally, at check in, the clerk told me dinner would be available from 5-10 and breakfast from 6-11 the next morning with checkout at noon. It was not clarified that these meals were NOT complimentary. With complimentary breakfasts served at previous hotel experiences, I assumed both meals were complimentary and was surprised at the supposed complimentary dinner thinking Wow! This was great!

Once checked in the room, my daughter and I both immediately noticed the extreme musty odor which smelled like mildew / musty. When I went to call the office about the odor, I noticed a sticky, syrup splotch which I accidentally leaned on (apparently not wiped down prior to our check in). The desk clerk answered and placed me on a long hold at which point I just went downstairs. The line was long (checking in soccer players), so I just figured I’d let the odor complaint go and deal with it as we were exhausted from the long drive.

When we returned from our afternoon outing for dinner, we learned in fact that dinner was NOT complimentary which was ok, as I did think that was quite surprising if it was! However I did ask about breakfast in the morning and was told by the waitress that, yes, breakfast would be served in the morning. Again, I as well as my family interpreted this to be complimentary as it was NOT clarified again, that it was not.

Later in the evening, in the pool area, we spotted another larger cockroach crawling under in a crack at the bottom of the wall near the towels.

Additionally, the shower in our room had hairs on the walls from previous guests as the length and color didn’t match my family members indicating the shower was not cleaned thoroughly or at all prior to our stay.

Now I can see the breakfast confusion being our own misunderstanding as we normally stay at Holiday Inn where breakfasts are complimentary and we assumed this to be the case here based on our previous hotel stay experiences. Either way, when my husband went down in the morning at 6:11 am, he returned saying breakfast is NOT available and coffee was not prepared as was usually the case at other hotels.

I made a complaint with Hilton Honors, and was redirected back to the hotel and advised it could take up to 72 hours to hear back from them to determine what, if any compensation we may receive for our less than satisfactory stay at this location.

Very disgruntled guest to say the least! Onto Kalahari Resorts for a much awaited experience to lift the spirits for the rest of our vacation!

Disappointing.
Pros:

Room size was good. Warm cookies at check in was a nice touch. Staff was very friendly and kind. When booking.com had issues with my reservation change the hotel itself was very accommodating.

Cons:

Stains on bedding. One elevator was not operational the entire visit. We were there 4 days and stayed on the 4th floor traveling with lots of sports gear so using the stairs was not an option. The ice machine on our floor was out of order requiring us to take coolers to another floor to get ice. The room smelled musty/moldy and there was a horrific stench when walking on the first floor from the elevators to the lobby. It literally smelled like death in the 101-110 room section. Police also appeared one evening in that area probably due to the stench. Had to pay $20 per night to park in a parking lot that had ample parking which was not secured with homeless people camping out on the corner. While I did not order drinks, my friends received warm beer from a bottle as none of the beer on tap had kegs and the bartender did not know how to make an old fashion. Highway traffic was very loud and woke us up several times during the night.

Well worth it.
Pros:

Lovely hotel very clean comfortable staff were friendly and helpful 👌

Cons:

The breakfast was not great although we dined towards the end of service.
We needed to stay two extra days but was quoted $440 which was way to expensive so moved hotels for $135.
