The location of this hotel is perfect for Texas Medical Center! The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting. The rooms are clean, spacious and lovely as it has been remodeled. We had no real outside noise that bothered us in our room - couldn’t hear the hallway or rooms above/below us. This hotel is definitely worth the price and they are so accommodating for MDA patients/family! The fitness center is great and clean.
We will stay here every time coming to MDA and the surrounding area!
This location is always fabulous! Staff is very friendly and welcoming, Armando is amazing! Ali and Adrian at the front desk, Maria in the restaurant; they’re all so helpful! We’ve been coming here for a year now for medical help and the medical center is close enough to walk, or Rowdy is always on time with the shuttle. We highly recommend this location to anyone needing to stay close to the medical center.

Price- being a medical center for Cancer patients at MDA and other facilities; you would think it would be more reasonable for patients who have to drive along way for treatment.

Stayed one night at DoubleTree by Hilton Houston Medical Center Hotel & Suites in West University ahead of an early medical appointment, and overall it was a very solid experience.
Parking is in an open lot outside the hotel, and there was plenty of space available, which made arrival easy and stress-free. Check-in was seamless, and of course the signature warm cookies were exactly what you'd hope for -- always a nice touch.
The room was clean, smelled fresh, and the linens and towels were well stocked. Everything felt comfortable and ready for a quick overnight stay. The only downside in the room was that the TV remote didn't work, though since we were only there for the night, it really wasn't a major issue for us. One thing future guests may want to note: wall outlets were a bit limited, so if you're traveling with multiple devices, bringing a small power strip or charger hub is a smart idea.
Breakfast the next morning was one of the highlights. The buffet was hot, delicious, and offered plenty of variety, whether you wanted a light continental breakfast, a traditional hot meal, or lower-calorie options. It was quite busy, but the staff handled the rush impressively well. The hostess, who had a warm grandmotherly presence, was clearly very experienced and managed even a particularly high-maintenance guest with remarkable grace and professionalism. Our server was also juggling several tables but remained attentive and efficient throughout.
Checkout was quick and easy, and we were able to get on the road with no delay.
Overall, this was a comfortable, convenient stay with excellent service and a great breakfast. I'd definitely stay again, especially for anyone needing something close to the medical center.
Jaysi at the Houston Medical Center hotel was incredibly helpful to us. We had doctors appointments at MDAnderson that were running way behind and we had not checked out yet. Jaysi was no nice and helpful and worked with us on a very stress day to manage through the disruptions. She is a wonderful person and great employee.
Rowdy the shuttle driver made my day EVERYDAY! He was always pleasant , on time and helpful. He did everything possible to get you to appts!!! Thank you, Rowdy!!
