My electric blind didn't work. They sent a maintenance man to my room to fix it. I wasn't particularly comfortable having him in my room and as such rushed the job. I told him it was okay for him to leave the blind halfway down. It was still daytime and I didn't realize my room faced the street with about twenty bright business signs that would light up my room all through the night. I told him it was okay, but it was not a decent night's sleep. They should have moved my room.

Overall it was a great stay Room was nice and everything we came for was within
Pros:

Location was great and staff was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable.

Cons:

The only thing was parking was limited. But I k ow it was a busy time with the activities going on at the Marshall arena. I found a place at the back and I didn’t move my car. But we could walk to the Arena and there was a good variety of places to eat Within walking distance. We really like Luigi’s.

The staff was rude especially the GM Mrs. Adkins. She was rude, unapproachable, and seemed mad that I asked speak to a manager. This was due to the fact that I was quoted three different prices for extending my stay another night. I then was told that I couldn't stay another night and must leave at checkout. I complied, but went to the administration office to talk to someone else. GM Adkins was only employee in the office, I stated I already spoke to her, thank you happy new year and good luck. When I asked her; her supervisor, she refused to tell me and stated it was Marriot. Also, after I left the office she called the Police and filed a false report of a disruptive guest. Completely lied about the interaction between the two of us. I'm a combat veteran of Iraq and was denied the freedoms I fought for by Mrs. Adkins. She disrespected me, Marriot, and the value of a chain of command. I fully intend to file a lawsuit against Delta hotel Huntington WV.
