Amazing location and a beautiful hotel!
The room was really beautiful with a very comfortable bed and pillows but the wallpaper in the hall of my room was somewhat dirty, which slightly spoiled the experience of this nice place.

“İç avlu” aslında apartman boşluğu idi. Klima sistemi çok kötü idi. Isıtma veya soğutma yappmadığı gibi bir de çok gürültülü idi. Banyo da küvet kenarı çok yüksekti ve küvete girip çıkmak bizim gibi yaşlı insanlar için cambazlık gerektiriyordu.

El hotel es hermoso. El desayuno espectacular. Y la ubicación in fue insuperable.
Character, quality, location

The hotel was exceptional, fantastic central location with the iconic square and all the venues around it, just a short walk away. Room was generous in size and comfort, and the staff where very helpful and friendly with an Aussie who could not speak the local language well. Love Lyon and will definately return to Le Royal on our next visit.
Le Royal met all our expectations for a hotel on holiday - cannot fault it.
Horrible stay - this is maybe 2 stars but in no case 5. Rude staff- the parking is public and a bit of a walk away and it’s unsafe - homeless people hanging around. There is no valet at night. They didn’t help with bags and rooms smelt stuffy and didn’t smell clean.

De pas dire que le parking est payant
The hotel is beautiful, comfortable, and wonderfully situated in the city. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. We were upgraded into a suite because the elevator was temporarily out (it was fixed almost immediately) and I had a sprained ankle, so I think they took pity on me. One evening I asked for some ice to ice my ankle and it was at our door what seemed like seconds later. Our suite was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was large. The breakfast was excellent. There were many nice restaurants nearby, and a market right across the street.
My only complaint, and it would not deter me from staying again, was that the shower was warm but not hot. It’s designed to cap at 38C, which is cooler than I prefer.
We stayed for a week. The room was lovely with a great view and balcony. Breakfast was delightful. We also enjoyed the bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend Le Royal.
The elevator was down for repairs while we were there.
Ce n’est pas la hauteur d’un 5 étoiles c’est très vieillot, la douche fuit, les joints de douche sont jaunis de la poussière ….
Room was large, bathroom excellent. (except poor lighting) and good closet/storage. Appreciated the bathrobes and slippers.
