All staff extremely well trained and ready to serve.
Great pool area with bar.
Food is excellent.

We stayed there just for a long day between flights and enjoyed everything: spacious room, rooftop pool, bar, and had a delicious lunch at the restaurant. Also a drink at the legendary cafe. Everything was excellent: always smiling and polite staff, amazing meal, heated pool, and my partner enjoyed a sauna too. It is a heritage hotel with a rich history.
We definitely will stay there again if we visit Nairobi.

An old hotel, said to be the first in Nairobi, so it has a historic ambiance. But it’s decidedly faded. Dark wood, burgundy carpets and a pervading foisty smell on our floor.
It’s in the business district so it’s possible to take a walk around the streets (without jewellery or too much cash) so you can get a feel for the district. We appreciated that.
But in the hotel, to get to the pool, you have to walk through one of the hotel restaurants which was full of noisy diners when we were there. Bit offputting! We stayed one night and that was enough.

This is my 6 th visit to the Stanley hotel in Nairobi.
It is the ultimate in customer experience. When Jackie remembers my breakfast preferences it make you feel valued as a person.

Another occasion someone ( Nellie) asked about our programme (kenyathriving). She had remembered we had a problem and showed genuine interest if it had been resolved.

Yes the food is great and the rooms and amenities are top class.

The hotel had the old regal feel to it (but I was surprised that some of the old colonial photos still adorned the walls).
