Don't trust what they say.
Pros:

After a long trip with my family, I arrived to the hotel very late that day. There was no one at the desk, despite a sign that stated that the worker was on a short break. We wait for over an hour with sleepy kids in the car. No one showed up. Computer seemed unlocked. We called corporate to help us out. They couldn't get a hold of anyone, and ultimately couldn't' help us. Finally, they decided that we could go to another hotel to compensate for this experience and confirmed in both writing and verbally that they would cover the cost for the other hotel. It's been over 2 months and they still haven't followed through with that promise. The lack of integrity on their part is truly a disappointment and turn off for a hotel company. I have reached out to the IHG organizational team and I am now still waiting on a response....I was told by another person in the hotel industry not to expect a response and that their customer service in that regards is subpar. I hope they're wrong.

Pros:

Hotel is very clean (both our room and the common areas), and the staff were all very kind and accommodating. Free breakfast had nice savory & sweet options. Outdoor pool and hot tub were clean. Parking lot is well lit, however finding a spot can be tricky if you return late in the evening during peak tourist times. Location is within close walking distance of Glenwood Caverns and Iron Mountain Hot Springs. This is our second stay at this hotel, and we'll certainly be back!

Pros:

The first night was okay. The second night they didn't have any water so almost everyone checked out and went to another hotel. They refunded my money for the second night. They didn't show any remorse about their service.

Closer to Iron Mountain than you think
Pros:

Great location! Ignore Google maps - it's only ~5 minutes from Iron Mountain if you scramble up the slope from the Holiday Inn parking lot (they should put in a proper path/steps), walk across the bridge, and walk through the Iron Mountain parking area. If you don't want to scramble up the slope, it's another ~3 minutes to walk to the road properly (i.e., ~8 min walk)

Pros:

Property seems to be working through renovations, our room still had tape on outlets on wall with window, damage to the opposite half wall by bed closest to the bathroom, beds were worn in paint peeling in places in the bathroom, paint and cement damage in the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was ok limited options but weekends had something different than the weekday. Overall staff was friendly and helpful. Could not check in early and had to wait for rooms to be cleans when we arrived around 1pm.

There has to be better options
Pros:

Made a mistake staying here in September. Room was clean but tight and the sink was in the open and not in the bathroom. Microwave was teeny tiny. Turned on the shower and was blasted like a business end of a firehose, turned it down but water sprayed out since the shower bar wasn't level and the shower curtain drifted to the center, Drain couldn't keep up had to slosh over to the end of tub since soap etc. was mounted on the back end of the tub instead of the center. Cable tv was pretty bad think of a cheap Sling package, no A&E, History Channel, National Geo, HGTV, Cartoon network and others you know the channels people watch. Hate to be stuck here in a snowstorm. Ask to be on a pet free floor, we were on the 3rd floor and a dog barking woke us up at 6:30 in the morning. Breakfast was just ok, no potatoes or waffles they had a pancake machine that wasn't working. Last day we were packing up and housekeeping showed up at 8:30 told them we were still there. 15 minutes later showed up again my husband had gone down to get a luggage cart they definitely want you out. Dining options close by are limited, a Mexican place that was okay and some sort of German breakfast place that was pretty bad.

Pros:

Our check in person was awesome but it all went down hill from there. The hotel is in need of remodeling. Stay was very expensive for the quality. We paid extra for our pets but the location for not good for taking them outside.

Pros:

Average hotel. Service, rooms, food - everything average. Allright for one night stay on our Way through Utah, but would not choose it for more days.

Pros:

Fantastic hotel. Breakfast was great, location was great, bed was super comfortable, and hotel is clean. The outdoor area by the side entry doors could be better maintained. Felt safe, and quiet area. Would definitely stay again.

Pros:

I just didn't like that our room was closed to be the breakfast area and right at 7:00am the noise from people was crazy. I think a room in a different floor would be the best.
