Unhygienic but good bones
Pros:

Great location, decent breakfast spread with bagels, toast, yogurt, clementines, juice, coffee, tea, cereal and oatmeal options. One waffle machine or microwaves in the room would revolutionize this hotel.

Cons:

The property was not hygienic. We really wanted to make the best of it because the location is perfect, but we almost asked for a full refund and went elsewhere… the first room they gave us had literally not been cleaned at all. Dirty sheets, dirty toilet etc. We went to management and changed rooms. The other room was better, but still not clean. There are no duvets/covers on the comforters - and they are NOT washed in between guests. The manager said he struggles with his house cleaners because they are chronically short staffed in Pagosa and if you give any criticism they just quit. The hot tub water was dirty and slightly slimy, the bathroom in the pool room was truly horrendous. Some of the towels in the “clean” tower for the pool were used and had not been washed, just refolded and put there. Overall, this hotel has great bones and potential but the upkeep is absent and dysfunctional and we do not recommend and will not come back.

This has been one of my worst experiences in a hotel.
Pros:

I liked the location of hotel. Room was clean. No bugs.

Cons:

There was no eggs or bacon or sausage for a continental breakfast. The Tv did not work even after I told staff multiple times. It was not fixed. There was no microwave in the room. It cost money to do laundry. Vending machine was not working at the hotel.

Customer service very rude and unfriendly from the moment we walked in, unfortunate.

Location was fine and it was easy to book.

Cons:

The front desk staff was unfriendly, did not even say hello when we walked in and stood at the front desk. But she told us 3 times no dogs were allowed and we would have to pay damages. We came in on motorcycles, we don't have a dog, nor did we say we did. The one food/snack vending machine didn't work. There was no nice amenities for the price we paid, no coffee during the day, no vending machine, the pool looked dirty, although we did not swim, and we were informed the hot tub was there but it wasn't hot, just not a place I would return to, especially for the price.
