Disaster Construction Zone
Cons:

Stayed here during construction and it was absolutely not worth the $265/night. The parking lot was a disaster—full of large construction containers with no available parking at night, so I had to park on the street. The main entrance was closed, requiring entry from the side, which passed by dumpsters used for both construction debris and hotel garbage. The smell was overwhelming and honestly made you feel sick walking by.
Breakfast was moved to the fitness room, which smelled like old sweat. Food quality was poor—everything was dried out and hard. There was also no practical way to carry food back to the room (juggling cups, plates, etc.).
I understand renovations happen, but charging full price under these conditions is unreasonable. Had I known, I would have stayed elsewhere. Would not recommend during construction.

Not good. Disappointing because I’d stayed before and loved it

Cons:

Was not informed before booking that hotel under construction. Upon entering everything dusty, torn up. Breakfast in small work out room Towels old and thin. No glasses for water. Only decaf keurig pods. No cream.
The evening desk receptionist was rude. Will not stay again. They should close for construction. At least warn

Holiday Inn Express Pendleton OR renovation
Pros:

When I called the hotel to make reservation at no time did the representative inform me that they are undergoing a huge renovation. The whole of the ground floor is bare studs and flapping plastic. Very unwelcoming. No breakfast area, had to pick up breakfast from fitness room and take back to our room. The room was adequate but the door was so badly fitting we could hear every noise from the hallway. We will not stay there again

Not what I expected - unimpressed & disappointed.
Pros:

Staff was kind.

Cons:

Room was dingy, seemed to have crumbs and maybe wasn’t properly cleaned, lots of construction debris and vehicles so that it was difficult to park, very dark parking lot/grounds, furniture was dirty/dingy.

It is an ok place at a reasonable price.
Pros:

The room was renovated. It was comfortable. The staff was pleasant.

Cons:

It is surprising how a rennovated room can have issues. The bathtub was very slippery when taking a shower. The toliet seat abruptly drops and doesn''t have a damper feature to keeping from slamming. The heater sounds like an airplane taking off. The bed was merely adequate. The door to the outside had an issue with the closer so it slammed shut.
With the renmovation going on on the first floor, the gym became the breakfast room.
