Booked for three nights and aside from Kopi Haus Restaurant for their hotel buffet, here’s a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for Atrium— a Hidden Gem for Peaceful, Cozy Dining

Atrium at Sunway Putra Hotel Kuala Lumpur (9th floor) is truly a hidden gem. The main dishes are pleasant and well-prepared, but the real standout for me was the cakes—especially the Malaysian cake. Not too sweet, perfectly balanced, and absolutely enjoyable.

The service is impeccable. Special thanks to Ms. Ruby, who was incredibly accommodating and helpful, making the whole dining experience even more delightful.

If you’re looking for peace and quiet, away from the noisy restaurants in the connecting Sunway Putra Mall, this is the place. Cozy, comfortable, and calm—perfect for a relaxed meal. I’ll definitely be back later.

The hotel itself is quite standard, but the location and transport is quite good, since it is attached to a mall.
In the lobby, they have an Atrium Lounge where they serve food and drinks to you. It is moderately quiet and there are a decent amount of universal charger ports along the walls. I have tried their Tandoori chicken and my mother has tried their charcoal burger, both were seasoned well and were well-worth the price.

Had a really great experience at Sunway Putra Hotel! I booked a Deluxe Room that accommodates up to three people. The check-in process was very fast and smooth, thanks to Zhaf.

The room was spacious, very clean and well maintained. The mattress and bedsheets were all fresh and comfortable. The room was very, very spacious, much bigger compared to most hotels.

Parking is charged at RM13 per night, which is reasonable. I also enjoyed the buffet breakfast, which offered a wide variety of choices. The food was decent and tasted great.

We did experience a small issue where the guests in the next room were quite loud around 12am. However, after calling the front desk, the team managed to assist us promptly, allowing us to have a good and restful night.

I requested a late check-out until 2pm and was kindly given until 3pm at no extra charge, once again accommodated by Zhaf.

Thank you so much for the wonderful stay. Truly a pleasant experience, and I would definitely consider staying here again.

We stayed for 7 nights at Sunway Putra Hotel with our kids, and the experience was very good. The breakfast had many food options. The staff were very polite and helpful. The direct access to the mall and easy travel to the city were big advantages. Overall, it was worth the money

We had an absolutely wonderful Christmas Eve and it was an evening we will never forget.
From the very beginning, Juliana, made everything perfect. She helped us book the Christmas Eve dinner buffet and the after-party countdown, explaining everything with such care and enthusiasm. Her kindness and professionalism truly set the tone for the night.
The food was amazing, with a fantastic variety and beautifully prepared dishes. The atmosphere was incredibly Christmassy — Christmas carols, festive decorations, and a warm, joyful vibe throughout the evening. The DJ was fantastic and played so many songs we loved; we danced, laughed, and had the best time celebrating.
A very special mention goes to Keat, our lovely and always-smiling waiter, who took care of us throughout the evening. His warmth, attentiveness, and genuine kindness made us feel truly welcome and well looked after. He truly made our night extra special.
While everything — the food, music, and atmosphere — was excellent, it was the staff who made the evening magical. Their energy, kindness, and dedication turned a great event into a truly memorable celebration.

Sunway Putra Hotel is definitely a great place to stay whenever I feel too tired to go home. As I am currently on crutches, walking long distances takes time, so having this hotel very near to my workplace is extremely convenient. I really love the ambiance as it feels comfortable and relaxing. The staff are generally friendly and welcoming, which makes the stay even more pleasant. I will definitely come back again.

Sunway Putra is a great hotel to stay for honeymoon. The staff are friendly and helpful. One of the employees, Akmal, was great at guiding since this was our first time in Malaysia. He helped us book grab, gave us list of activities we can enjoy in Kuala Lampur, how to find things in the hotel, and more.

I can recommend this hotel as it ticks all the main boxes confort, cleanliness, and helpful staff. Only a small coulpe niggles our night safe didn’t work, kettle not working but quickly replaced and the electrical wall stock loose.
Good choice at breakfast and staff very efficient. I’d stay again.

The staff were generally not very friendly; only a few greeted guests, and I hope the hotel can improve in making visitors feel more welcomed.

The Superior Room was quite standard, though I was surprised to find some worn-out towels. On the positive side, the room was clean, the bathroom well-maintained, pillows were soft, and the air-conditioning worked effectively.

Free parking is available, which is very convenient. The swimming pool was average, nothing particularly special.

Breakfast, however, was impressive with a wide variety of options — from local delights like nasi kerabu (served that day) to English breakfast, Chinese and Indian selections, vegetarian dishes, and pastries. The food was tasty and satisfying.

Another advantage is the hotel’s direct connection to a shopping mall, offering plenty of cafes and restaurant choices, which is very convenient for guests.

Overall, a decent stay with a few areas for improvement, but breakfast and location were definite highlights.

The lobby is stunning and truly reflective of a five star property. As a Titanium member, my perks were immediately recognised. I was offered late checkout and a double upgrade to a suite. The hotel was running full during my stay, yet check in was efficient and we only waited about fifteen minutes for our room even though we arrived at 1 pm.

The suite itself was spacious and welcoming. Direct access to the mall through level 4 made getting around incredibly convenient. The welcome amenities were also one of the better ones I have received, with thoughtful touches of local flavour that added warmth to the experience.

There are a few areas that could be improved to elevate the overall stay. I had intended to make use of my Discovery Dollars but was not presented with that option during check in. I overlooked it at the time and only remembered at checkout, by which point the payment had already been processed. Not a major issue since I can save the points for a future trip, but it would have been nice if this option had been proactively offered.

It would also greatly enhance the guest experience if the club lounge, which has not been operational for a few years, could be reinstated. A proper lounge would provide guests with a more curated and personalised check in and check out experience, as well as a more refined dining space. The complimentary Americano and tea at the atrium lounge were pleasant, yet a dedicated club lounge would offer a wider selection of beverages and a more tranquil environment to unwind.

Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay, elevated by excellent recognition of elite status and a well appointed suite. With a few thoughtful enhancements, the experience could be even more exceptional.

The location was great, as well as the room, the value, and all the staff. I will say both Nico and Vijay really went out of their way to help me book transportation and make a plan for my last day there where I got to see the beautiful Batu Caves AND make it to the airport well ahead of time. Thank you guys!

Excellent location as a mall is connected with the hotel and you can really enjoy food at this mall.. Staffs are very friendly.. In general the people in KL are very respectful and friendly. Breakfast at the hotel has lot of varieties.

Only issue was with the water leakage in toilet due to the type of taps and shutoff

Very nice hotel to stay at a reasonable price. The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous, Vijay in particular was very nice he guided us all through . Location is brilliant and the mall in the same premises is an added attraction.

One of the best hotel but when we book 1 room I didn’t feel very well so I speak in Mr. Akmal so he help us too much ..he suddenly changed our room and give big room …he helped to transfer our room to luggage also…very kind person and helpful person Mr.Akmal….

My experience at Sunway Putra Hotel was nothing short of excellent.
Prior to arriving Shervin organized my transfer from KLIA to the hotel, which all went smoothly. I was very grateful for his efficiency and prompt service.
On arrival at the hotel checking in was a very positive experience. Zaf greeted me at the front desk and was extremely professional. His caring nature and attention to my requirements was very much appreciated.
Vijay from the concierge desk was very helpful during my stay at the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and I was also impressed with his caring nature.
The restaurant served a wonderful breakfast which catered for all ethnicities. The staff were friendly and only to happy to assist when required.
I would have no problem in recommending Sunway Putra Hotel. My experience with the staff was extremely pleasant and the hotel’s amenities were great. On my next visit to KL I will certainly be returning to Sunway Putra Hotel.

Very nice! Especially the server at G floor, I forget his name, but he's a handsome and warm-hearted Indian.

Stayed for 4 nights at Sunway Putra. Had a smooth checkin and was asked pay extra for early checkin at 8 am based on my request and was upgraded to Suite room for the night. Next day, they asked us to continue staying in the Suite room for next 3 nights. The staff were very welcoming. Breakfast was provided at the hotel with a good spread which was enough to compensate for the Indian food which could have been better. The Metro line is walkable including the Sunway Putra Mall which also has lot of other food options. Overall a good stay and recommend this hotel.

Spacious rooms. Care is revealed by handle bar fixture in the shower area 👍🏼. If u're lucky , some rooms have unblock views of the Twin Towers. Some of the staffs were rather friendly (but it starts from us ya!) , SPECIAL mention - AKMAL ! He's like ur little brother for the stay (if on shift), friendly homey very helpful and vibing ! He might share his hopes and dreams if u ask !
If quiet is what u're looking for, this is the place, everything closes at 10pm. Cleanliness big win.

Note - the security is tight, so if u have any important delivery, do recieve them personally bcos hotel lobby is on 9th floor and couriers are not allowed to enter, all deliveries are being left on 1st floor enterance. My parcel went missing by the time I went down to retrieve it ! Damper !
