Shower temperature could have been hotter it was warm.

Member of staff quite rude when explained a situation of a certain smell (and jokingly accused me of doing) on a number of occasions.that had arised when leaving the room.

The food in the bar during the evening was the worst experienced for a very long time
Chips dark brown and soggy when i queried was told they were hand cooked....question was when....
Cheese cob buttered one side chunk of cheese and piece raw onion ....
Staff on reception were the happiest most polite staff

Every time we walk into this beautiful hotel met by friendly professional staff to make your stay so enjoyable nothing to much trouble, Thank you Every time Donna, Clive and please forgive me forgotten your name, tall smart with smart sharp haircut gentleman, walk in to beautiful waterfront view room Every time, spotless clean, comfortable again thank you Housekeepers doing g a lovely job, I met friendly Tina on our stay and thank her .

There was nothing I did not like
The bed was extremely comfortable - I slept well (unusual when away). Liked the pillows - they were scrunchy not like blown up balloons. Plenty of room and storage if you had a longer stay. Felt very comfortable and enjoyed my breakfast very much. Plenty of mirrors in the room and bathroom. Shower easy to use with every precaution being made for safety. Did the four minute shower challenge!!! Ok as I did not need to wash my hair!!
Felt the rooms needed a little updating. Liked the dressing table type mirrors in the bathroom. However, the tap was a little too far away from the sink meaning that the water hit the edge of the surface of the surrounding top making the washing and make up articles around the sink wet. Whilst my room was fine my friends bath (just missed I am sure) when she opened the shower curtain found dark hairs and unclean.
It was very clean and smelt nice and I loved the view of the canal
The bed was a bit hard
Lovely big room very clean. Staff are all very friendly and helpful
No fridge in room. On a warm day/night would be nice to have a cold drink in there
Rooms very dated and dirty
Great to see the Black Country flag flying. Marmite for breakfast.
Would have liked option of teapot at breakfast. Also would like scrambled eggs and black pudding to be added.
