Terrible Management

Terrible Manager...he said his name was Jeff and there was also another guy who was Hispanic to my best guess. They were terribly rude and unhelpful....my power bank most likely got stolen there... when I came back to the room one night my door was open and when I asked them to check the cameras they just said they got more important stuff to do and hung up the phone call...never experienced sth like this in my life...("We won't spend checking hours of camera footage for you")

Great hotel, not perfect but would stay again and recommend.
Pros:

Location was great for our needs. The property was clean and newly renovated.

Cons:

Unfortunately with the recent renovations they had not updated the tub and fixtures. They where not the worst but the shower head had rust stains, the new tile sealant joint was a poor coverup to the rust/hard water stains below and the drain didn't flow well. Not a deal killer but certainly didn't keep up with the rest of how fresh and new the rest of the facility felt.

St. Petersburg 4 days trip
Pros:

Very clean, renovated rooms, great water pressure in the shower, convenient location

Cons:

Same breakfast items every day for 4 days, beds could be more comfortable, a little too pricey but I believe it is high season for St. Petersburg.

Not anything I can say I liked.

Cons:

The room developed a strong sewer odor that made it unsuitable to stay in. When we initially checked in, the odor was not noticeable. My husband and I briefly used the room to shower and get ready before leaving for dinner.

When we returned a few hours later, the room had a very strong sewer smell that made it uncomfortable to remain in. I immediately notified the front desk, but they informed me that there were no other rooms available to move us to.

Because the issue could not be resolved and the room was not usable due to the odor, we checked out and left the property that night. Since the hotel was unable to provide an acceptable room, I am requesting a refund of this charge.

We had a great stay at La Quinta.
Pros:

Was clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was good.

Cons:

Would have liked to have had a blanket. Bathroom was tight with door almost hitting toilet. Did not realize extremely loud racing would be going on till almost 11:00 pm right by the hotel first night of our stay.

It was fine...not in room much. clean and acceptable. Don't charge for one hour early checkin
Pros:

Charged $30 to check in one hour early which was ridiculous. Breakfast is so-so..the usual high calorie stuff that is fast food. It was ok for no extra charge.

A decent stay that could use a few improvements
Pros:

First, I will say that Geoff at the front desk was so very pleasant to interact with during my three night. Stay there in February 2026. He was super friendly and patient with the customers during a time when it got busy as I was checking into the hotel. He was helpful throughout my stay, easy to talk to, and always greeted us when leaving and returning to the hotel.

The hotel was basic overall, a very typical hotel to stay in. I will say that it was generally clean, but as soon as I walked in, I noticed the dust on top of the picture frames, and there was dust on top of the headboards. I have to say it takes probably about 60 seconds to run a swiffer rag or microfiber rag over these surfaces to clean up the dust. However, I did notice that the other flat surfaces in the room like the TV stand table dresser, were pretty clean. The bathtub definitely needs renovations. Jeff did mention to me that the shower knobs are going to be replaced sometime soon, but I know the guests would really appreciate a more presentable bathtub. The stains from dirt and rust and in the grout, were offputting and made it appear that it was not clean, so I wore shower, shoes, flip-flops, when I showered. The bath towels were very rough, again it’s definitely down to preference, but it would be much more pleasant if the towels were a little softer to rub against your skin with. The remote control to the TV was a little dirty, would be great if they could clean it and then maybe put it in a plastic bag of some sort, I have seen that before and other hotels so it makes it easier to clean. I understand it’s probably very difficult to keep the mattresses clean and sanitary in a hotel, but the plastic mattress covers under the fitted sheet were noisy and caused the bed to be a little harder than the mattress probably is. Not sure what other hotels do to keep their mattresses sanitary, but having these crinkly wrinkly plastic covers on the mattress under your body as you sleep was not really comfortable. Lastly, it would be nice if a blanket came on the bed along with the sheet. Yes, there was a blanket in the closet, but typically there is a flat sheet, thin, blanket, and a dust cover of some sort on the beds and hotels. But here it was just the sheet and dust cover, and we had to grab the blanket from the closet to keep warm. If none of these things bother you, then I would recommend staying here as long as you book ahead to get the best price.

Very nice
Pros:

Front desk staff were very friendly and efficient. Room was clean and comfortable. Daily maid service was provided which is rare these days. Breakfast was great with eggs and sausage along with fruit, cereal, and waffles. Very nice hotel.
