Well maintained, ALL staff were excellent, accommodation was also excellent. Dining was superb.
If there is a criticism then it’s poor quality WiFi in the room which in turn affected tv etc.
The property had a lot of character, from the style of the building to the quaint artwork inside the rooms, and out in the gardens.
Should consider installing 'shower toilets' in their bathrooms for a more hygienic experience. Also, no hand held shower in the bath?

It's so beautiful- one of my absolutely favourite hotels. Pure class, and wonderfully friendly and helpful staff who are always completely professional.
You'd have to be incredibly picky not to love this place.
Location was outstanding. One of the best views of lake Windermere. Outside of the busy tourist district but only five minutes drive away. Food at Henrock was amazing and a lovely breakfast too. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
There was nothing to dislike
We first went to this hotel 3 years ago. I honestly don't know why we left it so long to go back. It is wonderful. It hasn't diminished in any way in 3 years, which is rare.

Unfortunately due to personal circumstances we had to leave earlier than expected.
The room was too small and dominated by a king size bed with no room to move around in. Only one chair was provided for although two of us were occupying it. The wardrobe was very small and we would have struggled to put our clothes in it. There was nowhere to put our luggage and for something classed as a superior room it was both very disappointing and misleading, definitely not worth the price tag.
