Staff and location were good.
The air conditioning was on a motion sensor so when you came back in the, room, clothes in the suit case and bed sheets were damp with the humidity.
Facilities still ok
Quite dusty n old
Staff were exceptional. Service was excellent.
Flexibility of check-in, returning to Australia, we arrived at the Hotel at approximately 7.15am, really tired and bedraggled, given no other assistance other than a seat on the veranda until given a room at 11.30am.
Size of room
An exclusive breakfast area rather than feeding like the foyer
Frühstücksbuffet war gut.
Wir sind in der Nacht angereist. Das gebuchte Zimmer war nicht vorbereitet. Ärgerlich mit kleinen Kindern.
Very nice hotel.
The staff are very attentive and responsive, and the rooms are adequately
The best is The pillows it was amazing 😊
The thing I didn't like was the noise in the corridor; you can hear everything, even late at night. It's not soundproofed enough. The duvets are too thin, you get cold quickly, and it's a shame there's no shuttle service.
LOCATION: The location is very convenient, with Havelock MRT and Bus stations just a short walk away.
GYM: Unlike many hotel gyms that feel cramped and under-equipped, this one is reasonably sized and offers a good range of equipment for a proper workout.
BIDET: It has a toilet bidet - a very important feature for asians!
HEATER: The shower heater takes some time to warm up, which can be inconvenient, especially after a long day of travel.
I didn't like the idea of having the shower and bathtub in the same spot.
BUFFET: The breakfast buffet could also be improved. While it is marketed as an international buffet, the selection was quite limited and did not offer much variety. Certain items, particularly the fruits, were slow to be replenished during peak breakfast hours. Overall, the food quality and taste were average and not something I particularly looked forward to each morning.
CHOPE: The restaurant will hand out a "chope" coasters that clearly indicate that a table is occupied. I saw this as an interactive display and effort to educate guests and tourists about Singapore's unique "chope" culture.
It is, however, a disappointing experience during breakfast when the restaurant staff reassigned our seats after we had already reserved them and were returning with plates of food. It appeared that newly arrived guests ignorant of the "chope" culture had occupied our table.
Rather than asking us to relocate, it would have been more appropriate to guide the newcomers to one of the many available tables and explain the logic behind those chope coasters. The situation could have been handled more thoughtfully and I felt that the reason we were the ones to make adjustments is because we're Asians while the newcomers are whites.
DUST AND DEBRIS: The floating bed design is nice. But clearly underneath the bed requires a lot of vacuuming as dust and debris accumulated in that spot. housekeeping missed vacuuming that area.
CONVENIENCE STORE: Lastly, guests should note that the nearest convenience store closes at around 9:00 PM. Those arriving late in the evening may want to purchase snacks or essentials earlier in the day.
restaraunts gourmet breakfast buffet
Breakfast OK but need rotation more (the same for the whole week, i get bored around Day 3).
We ABSOLUTELY LOVED everything about the Grand Copthorne. The staff were always so helpful and friendly, the breakfast was amazing...so much variety and always beautifully presented. The room was immaculate and lovely and roomy for our 10 day stay. We loved where it was situated along the Singapore River, it was so relaxing walking around the River in the evening. There is a great bar and restaurant downstairs in the Hotel and also some fantastic places to eat/drink a short stroll across the bridge from the hotel and also a short walk if you want if you want to go around to Clarke Quay. . We will definitely be returning.

A bit too far
The location of the hotel was good. Close to many dining options on the river and close to the Havelock metro station which made getting around the city very easy.
The room was spacious, clean and well serviced.
The staff were friendly and very helpful.
The water in the shower took a very long time to heat up.
The hotel was in a great location with nice big, clean rooms. Breakfast had a lot of variety.
I would have liked some body lotion as usually this is provided and I didn’t bring mine.
