downgraded our room upon arrival and attempted to trick us into thinking that we booked it, then told expedia it was actually an upgrade. we were not allowed the private villas that we booked, but given a room in the apartment building. it was freezing cold in the room and there was no hot water so we came in tired and cold (winter in rajasthan) only to find that we were denied heating besides a dirty fan heater we got after asking reception. daughter was not given extra bedding until we asked for it, and she was given a mattress as hard as the floor which was placed on the ground. she tried to sleep on it but her whole body ached trying and was forced to sleep in our bed with us even though she’s 17. we weren’t supplied amenities like slippers or towels until we asked for them. the breakfast we paid for was really dodgy - dirty plates and cutlery, the milkshake dispenser was filthy. it was just disgusting. the only reason we stayed was because it was literally in the middle of nowhere.
