Motel 6-Rocky Mount, NC

This Motel 6 was closed for renovation. They had been closed for almost three months. We had to find other lodging. I was very unhappy after driving over 300 miles. I will not use this service again.

This was the nastiest hotel I have been in my life. There was pubic hairs all around the shower walls. The sheets and comforters had cigerette holes in them. We went done to ask for our money back and to leave, but they said they had another room which they just cleaned. We went up to the room and my son pulled down the sheets and there was a significant amount of head hair in the sheets. We were told they could not give a refund, but we left to find another hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE. It was not a place that was clean and the surrounding area near the hotel was not the best. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Dirty

Nasty sums it up! The place was filthy. Hairs in the sheets, tub and toilet. I slept on the top sheet and folded it over like a sleeping bag. I realize it's under renovations (not mentioned on the website!) but it should really be closed down until they can operate fully. To say nothing of health code violations. I reported it to the gentleman at the desk upon check out but didn't get a response. I'm not sure he understood me. The two staff members I encountered were Indian and listening to Indian radio which seemed to be more entertaining than checking me in to the hotel.
Other reasons to not consider it: towels were paper thin and super small, no shampoo or conditioner. The shower curtain was filthy and the tub was terribly stained. Oh and the hot water was luke warm.
Also, it is SO NOT right at I95 and 64. It was 10 minutes off the highway and after traveling 13 hours with another 4 to go in the morning, the last thing I needed was an extra 20 minutes of driving.
I've stayed at other Motel 6's before and have had positive experiences. This is one I will be sure to never consider again. UGH!

Always a good experience for the price

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Dirty. Trash way over receptacles including old gross used pillows. Smelled worse than a fraternity house on Saturday morning. Literally and dead roach on the bathroom floor. Did not feel safe. Did not feel clean or comfortable. Did I say gross?
Motel 6 should be embarrassed. Never again. Worst $70 ever spent.

Bed was so dirty had change rooms floor dresser nothing was clean

My room was not cleaned during my stay. I was there for four days and they did not even attempt to clean my room. The shower curtain was stained and dirty.

Room didn’t have a remote, gentle man at the front couldn’t figure out how to work the tv with the standard remote he had

It was good need to serve would have been better

Not remodeled, bug infestation & cleaning staff was rude.

Great n clean room just wasn’t the room I was paid for. Had to pay an additional $10 because they didn’t have the room I wanted
