My entire stay at this location was great. Its was quiet staff was accommodating and the manager always great me with a smile.Great customer service.
We recently stayed at Extended Stay America Suites Richmond and Unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, the property-despite being listed as non-smoking-smelled strongly of marijuna throughout.
When we got to our room, it looked nothing like the photos online. The room felt outdated and was missing basic amenities like an ironing board and hairdryer. We even had to call the front desk just to figure out how to operate the shower, which shouldn’t be necessary.
The following night, multiple rooms around us were playing loud music and partying well into the night. It seemed like this kind of behavior was common and not addressed by management.
Safety was also a concern. There was a police presence outside the hotel every night, and we noticed several cars in the parking lot with broken windows. This made us feel very uneasy during our stay.
Considering the high price we paid, this experience was unacceptable. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The manager is always cordial and engages conversation during the checkin process which makes me feel like a special.guest.
Loved it
Staff were polite, friendly, and accommodating! Made a quick room change to accommodate my handicap needs of a walk-in shower. The cleanliness of the building inside and out. My room was immaculately cleaned and organized. Smelled fresh and clean upon walking into the building front door. Check out was so smooth. I will definitely stay here again very soon.
Beds was comfortable. Easy check in.
Could have been a little cleaner in the room. And the air conditioner didn't work.
I will come back soon
Very nice place to stay all amenities included courteous staff and very clean environment would recommend this hotel to anyone some hotels don't have the the tidiness this one has for the money.
Parking lot was really sketchy. There were people walking in between cars and we had arrived after dark. It was just my son and I we had a kitchenette double bed and a pullout couch. The kitchen wasn’t stocked at all. nowadays in hotels there are coffee pots. Not here. We opened the pullout couch. There was no mattress on it. And there were crumbs where the mattress was supposed to be. Room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or dusted in a long time… it was late and we were exhausted so I didn’t say anything at the time. We both just slept in the double bed. I did make sure to check the mattress and the sheets no sight of bugs. But the mattress had stains on it. I would not recommend this hotel. It says it comes with breakfast. That’s a joke. There are tiny muffins in a bag. There was oatmeal packets, but no hot water. There was coffee, but no half-and-half. Just sweet creamer. Definitely not worth $125 a night. I had the room booked for about two months. Otherwise, if I got a glimpse at at first, I would have never gone in. Definitely 100% disappointed. I woke up at 5:30 AM and I couldn’t get out faster.
Location
This property appears to be a facility used to house homeless and/or welfare recipients. Shortly after checking in there was yelling in our hallway for nearly half an hour, and the people we saw that were staying there appeared to be long term occupants.
The room decor is very dated, and as you can see the inside of the oven, which is older than dirt, is just as dirty.
Although it is stated they are a non-smoking facility, it was obvious previous occupants of our room (313) had smoked there. The bed was uncomfortable, and it was impossible for one person to move without the other going along for the ride. The springs were completely shot, and the pillows might just as easily have been rocks.
Aside from a quick check in process, there’s nothing good to say about this place. It’s nice that management responds to reviews, but it would be even nicer if they actually did something to rectify the complaints they receive rather than just give lip service.
We had a second reservation set up with this hotel for our return trip but canceled.
Nothing
Ppl was complaining making up lies saying it was a lot of noisy and they got bedbugs I leave early didn't wait until 11am. They deactivated the key I had to go get reactivated so I ask is it because I'm black she talking about no that's not it but it is
The listing stated that there was a breakfast included. When I went for breakfast, there was nothing provided. Not even coffee. When I inquired about it, I was told that the delivery did not come today. That was simply not true. Let me explain. I just stayed at a hotel that served a nice breakfast, and it took a lot of effort and a variety of different food sources for the hotel staff to facilitate the breakfast portion of the stay. A delivery not coming to this facility was not the reason that breakfast wasn't served. I was mislead that breakfast was included and I was very annoyed that we were taken advantage of regarding the 'lack of breakfast' experience.
