The roaches. The mean staff and rude staff, it was too much to even count. Will never stay here again. They upgraded me without telling me I’d have to move the next day, then they called the next morning at 8 to tell me to get ready to move at 12. My whole stay here was just very very bad. Very bad. Will not be staying in hotels anymore due to these issues I suffered here
The most disgusting hotel room i’ve ever slept in!
As we made our way to our room, the hotel hallways reeked of smoke and marijuana. Our “clean” room was littered with hair absolutely everywhere! It was absolutely disgusting! The restroom may look nice but the floors were full of dirt, dust, and hair. The shower wall was covered in hair as well. The towels had stains on them. The bed sheets had stains on them too, and you guessed it — more hair! Makes you question if they even cleaned this room in the first place. The only reason we endured this is because they wouldn’t allow us to cancel our reservation! Checked in and checked out feeling disgusted and disappointed. Please educate yourself on basic hygienic standards!
The property was clean and modern. The room was well arranged.
In a room with 2 queen beds we only had 2 pillows and 2 towels. We had to go ask for additional ones. There was no hair dryer or coffee pot either. I realize that isn’t a huge issue but the trip had already had complications and we were all tired. It was a nuisances.
I like the space in the room.
Possibly a plumping problem. All the showers on the second floor did not work when they switched me rooms the shower was dirty and the water pressure was terrible on the first floor.

BEWARE! Read all reviews and not the rating. You will have to ask for all kitchen items: dishes, glasses, silverware, ice cube trays, pots, pans & utensils. No kitchen towels, soap dish pods or even hangers in the closet. I cleaned the stove top and bathroom floor upon arrival. The cleaning lady was most helpful. She did not have the supplies needed to clean, but she did manage to supply me with a 1/2 glass of dish soap! Lame breakfast. Pool closed. This property did not meet the Hawthorn name standard.

Was not clean enough and smell like dogs and wet carpet.Hall was were hot and smelled.
We found several roaches during the 3 day stay. We found at least to 2-3 roaches in the room per day. Pretty spacious rooms. I didn’t like that I was wanting to upgrade from a one bed to a two bed but they wanted to up charge by $300. I’m usually a person who doesn’t complain but this was my first bad experience. I would give it a 5/10 experience.
We were given a room that someone was already staying in and walked in on them.

Parking was good and the hotel was clean. Don't count on breakfast even though it is advertised. Choices were dry toast, cereal and waffle - but no syrup or anything to drink. Rooms are basic: cooktop but no pots/pans, utensils, glasses or plates. But there is a dishwasher.
