Bathtub wouldn’t drain, roach in bathroom, bedbugs in bed. We did not stay the night and found another hotel nearby. Staff was nice and tried to be as accommodating as possible.
Room was nice and clean. Replacement Towels aren't free.
Rooms were poorly maintained. Lots of broken furniture. Kitchenettes weee sparse and had no plates, silverware, pots/pans, or other utensils. Had planned on staying for 11 days but o oh stayed one night. Did not feel safe. Lots of noise from other guests in the middle of the night.
Pool is cemented over (advertised as having a pool), non-existent continental breakfast (advertised as serving breakfast), distinct odor throughout the building, bathroom faucet was backwards (not the end of the world but communicates about the level of attention given upon installation), and pull out couch had crumbs on the mattress when we unfolded it (other than this, room was adequately clean). Hallway fire alarm was chirping (like the home ones do when needing new battery). Told clerk (didn’t catch his name but long blonde-brown hair) at front desk upon getting settled in at 5pm. Continued to chirp and asked for an update at 8pm. “I’m working on it” was the reply. Upon return at 9:45pm fire alarm still chirping. Went to front desk to speak with attendant and Ruben was working. “It isn’t here in my notes, but I’ll come up and check it in just a minute.” Ruben took care of the fire detector and it did not chirp for the rest of our stay! He is the only reason this is not a 1 star review.
The staff was amazing
Not a good experience what so ever. I left the hotel crying.
The pace has a roach issue and had at some point a bed bug issue. They won't provide towels unless you pay, well extra. The rooms were semi clean, found old bread on the floor. Was told they only clean rooms but every 14 days, how sway. But anyway my family and i made due being the fact that either the hotel or expedia would not allow change or refund...is what it is, was not there for the hotel.
Full of flies it smelled clientele not good
The property wasn’t bad but in side the hotel was filthy the rugs hadn’t been cleaned you had to pay for clean towels no one came to clean the rooms the bath tub creaky when you got in the shower I thought it was going to go down into the room beneath me
It was at the moment convenient for overnight stay. It was nice and could've been nicer if upstairs weren't so loud throughout the night
Absolutely nothing like the pictures. Rooms have only beds, and nightstands. No couch, no desk, no chairs. The existing furniture is broken, faces of drawers hanging off. Everything had at least one cigarette burn including all countertops, furniture, blankets, and the fridge. The place has a smell to it, typical of a bulding heavily smoked in. The front desk was rude, didnt even greet us for 10mins despite being right behind the wall behind the front desk.
A majority of the outlets throughout the room did not work, there was a roach in the bathroom, the pull out mattress had springs popping out of it and was extremely dirty, the television didn’t work, there was something sticky all over the bathroom floor around the commode, the room had been doused in some sort of cleaning scent that was too strong to handle when first entering. The front desk lady was nice but the actual room was horrendous.
very noisy
The room smells bathroom toilet don’t flush
Checked in and back out within an hour.
We left without staying at the property.
The property is outdated, hallways were dirty furniture was out dated and worn. No cookware or kitchen settings. It snowed and no one cleared the walkway and parking lot.
We Left this Hotel as soon as we got to our room very dirty bug in shower big red stain on the disgusting Carpet s a women was screaming in another room we left and found somewhere safe and clean to stay. Hotel did refund us on there but Expedia has to approve it I’ve contacted Expedia a few times not getting much of a response other than they have to wait for a Email from hotel I feel we should absolutely be refunded
This property was advertised as a home away from home. Extended stay. I booked 2 deluxe rooms, 1 room had 2 beds and a stand with a little tv. No furniture to accommodate 6 guest. No dishes, pots or pans ,no utensils 2 towels and 2 wash clothes in both rooms. If you wanted and dishes or towels you had to buy them from the front desk. They didnt advertise that each room has a securty deposit on top of the price of the room. I rented 2 rooms for my family to be together for thanksgiving and to celebrate our Christmas as my girls live all over the east coast. But we had to figure last minute meal plans as we were not buying dishes for our 4 night stay. There was cockroaches crawling through out the building everyday the "bug" vehicle was there spraying or putting cockroach bait down. This hotel is used bt the city of Newport News for placement of homeless. I have no problem to help homeless and put them.in a warm dry place. But to remove furniture and kitchen supplies and to tell guest who pay of $1300.00 for 2 rooms for 4 nights that you have to pay for supplies that are listed as part of hotel is totally wrong. I have request a refund.
