Incredibly steep stairs and a long way down to flat land. Absolutely nothing close by without having to go down the stairs. In the heat and humidity ( no air conditioning) it took quite an effort to go anywhere.
THE VIEW FROM ANY OF THEIR ROOMS IS AMAZING!!!
The hotel was nice, the room was clean. The view from the room was magnificent and breath taken. The was one issue and tgst was that there was no air conditioning available and it was so hot. Staff was great they even got us a fan but tgere was almost nothing we could do as it was so uncomfortable.
The staff is wonderful very welcoming and attentive. The property has an amazing view and the pool is nice the rooms are pleasant. The only big bummers were NO AC and it was sooo hot when I went so it was horrible trying to sleep at night in the hot weather. WiFi doesn’t reach up to the other floors of the hotel so basically no WiFi. The elevator didn’t work for the first couple of days when we got there so it was a hassle going up a bunch of flight of stairs everyday. And plus to get to the hotel walking to the hotel you have to go up a hill/ a bunch of stairs. And I think they were doing some exterminating as well when we were there. Besides that though our stay wasn’t too bad.
Me agrada quedarme al hotel la siesta. Una de las mejores vistas hacía al Mar si se quiere quedarse al centro de Vsllarta
All the staff were excellent! Beautiful property.
The stay was what i expected. Did not expect to be insulted by the woman at the front desk named Carol. Referring to me and Americans as dumb.......( in her exact words) for electing Trump. Also water pressure in room was poor. Difficult to take a good shower when spending the day on the beach.
Had to 15 to 20 minutes for hot water, kitchen was dirty and only had two dishes, internet was non existent and tv was broken
I enjoyed my stay here. It’s a quirky slightly rundown place that has perhaps seen better days. But it has character. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The views are amazing. It’s a bit noisy, so keep that in mind. The penthouse restaurant was very enjoyable. The pool is small and cold, but you can still do laps. great deal for the money. I would stay again
Nice relaxing place
The property was nice but getting to it is terrible. Climbing up and down all those stairs to get to town is quite challenging. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant up stairs was wonderful! Great food and views. They should have coffee somewhere in the building though,
Pros: beautiful view, close to the Malecon and friendly staff.
Cons: no AC, very noisy at night, uncomfortable beds and the property is very dated. We paid more than we thought it was worth. Unfortunately we ended our trip here and had to go home for some rest and relaxation.
First off, I hate big shiny resorts. This building if rather old and is showing her age. If you are a resort/cruise ship kind of person, this may not be the place for you.
The staff was super helpful whenever I needed anything. It is close enough to the Malecon that it is an easy walk down, but a requires a bit more effort on the way up the hill. The payoff is great views of Bay of Banderas. As many have stated, the beds are rather hard, but bearable.
This property was everything we had expected. We knew it was an older Mexican hotel and that is exactly what we were looking for when we booked. It was very quiet except at night as we had read in reviews you could hear the bars down the hill but this did not affect us. We still slept with the patio doors open. We again read that it did have 100 stairs to climb on your way up from the beach but we just made it part of our day and had no issues. The staff was great answering any questions but we are pretty independent travellers that like to figure things out on our own. They could do some minor repairs to the building and look at replacing dishes and cookware etc but that is what we expect to find in these old hotels… just part of the Mexican charm lol. Water pressure and temperature was a little fun to keep consistent but we never had a cold shower. There is no A/C but we didn’t require any with the breeze at the top of the hill. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will be back. A big thank you to the staff
We never stayed. The beds were like concrete and we left one hour after we checked in for a more comfortable hotel.
We enjoyed our stay here. The place looks like traditional Mexico. The view was amazing! The air blowing through the open windows was refreshing and it always felt great no matter what the temp outside. Walking up the hill at first was a workout but you find ways around the back and down the road into much easier. There is no ac and you won’t need it here as the wall of window opens up and air blows all day. If you want the traditional look and good people serving you then this is your spot! On another note they have El Panorama restaurant up top and the view there is magical. Get some good food and enjoy the view of Puerto Vallarta!
Management agreeable and flexible
Loved helpful and friendly Yasmina at the front desk. Wifi was not reliable. Lovely traditional hotel with great views and staff but is badly in need of renovations.
Carol & Jasmin went above and beyond regular service. They made me feel like family! The pool is nice, the rooms are great. Close to the Malecon, but those 100 (I counted!) stairs are a bit of a bother so if you have groceries you need a cab. But once you get there you are rewarded with fabulous views.
Wonderful view and suite. Outstanding 5 star restaurant. All the staff were incredibly nice.
