Heerlijk hotel voor een actieve vakantie dicht bij de stad en met uitzicht op de oceaan. .
Pros:

Het hotel dateert van 1972. Echter dat merk je niet. Integendeel vanaf het moment dat de "doorman" je verwelkomt loop je binnen in een hotel waar de collega's blij zijn met elkaar. Waar er aandacht is voor de gasten. Groot en klein. Valide en minder valide. De kroonluchter in de hal is enorm. Het parket in diverse kleurstelligen en de manier waarop het gelegd is is indrukwekkend. Inchecken ging vlot en daarna door naar de kamer. Weliswaar met uitzicht op de stad maar 400 euro extra om in de ochtend naar de oceaan te kijken was me toch iets te veel. Dat zie je zodra je de gang op loopt toch wel. De kamer was erg ruim. De bedden waren erg goed. Kortom niks te klagen anders dan dat de douche straal wat harder had gemogen.
Het ontbijtbuffet in de morgen is erg uitgebreid en heeft voor eenieder wat wils. Met de ochtendzon op het terras en de oceaan voor je neus is er welhaast geen betere start van de dag te wensen.
Er zijn meerdere zwembaden bij het hotel die allen ook ruim opgezet zijn.
Een punt van aandacht voor degenen die een auto huren. Er is een parking bij het hotel - een euro per uur - maar die is beperkt. Mocht die vol zijn, ga dan geen eindeloze rondjes rijden om ergens een plek te vinden. Net iets verder op is een andere parking - twee euro per uur met een max van 20 euro per dag - waar je voldoende plaats hebt. Verder is het een 2km lopen naar de stad langs de boulevard. Kortom een heerlijke plek voor een actieve en ook een luie vakantie.

Cons:

Zoals gezegd iets meer druk op het water voor de douche maar dat is dan ook echt het enige.

Super hôtel. Returning in June!
Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff, lovely layout of te hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. Location is excellent with access to local restaurants as well as short 15 minute walk into te centre of Funchal.

Cons:

Housekeeping could provide more coffee and milk for in room hot drinks.

Pleasant stay
Pros:

The staff were happy, helpful and courteous. The hotel was very clean and plenty of pools to use. Breakfast was ok with plenty of selection. The beds were comfortable with extra blankets if needed. It was my husband's 60th and we were left some madeira wine & cake which was a nice touch.

Cons:

Only one small thing. An opening time for the fitness room on level 7 would be an advantage.

Ett prisvärt hotell med allt man önskar sig i ett perfekt läge
Pros:

Perfekt läge mellan Lido/Funchal. Mycket utbud både med mat/dryck och poolområde och aktiviteter. Fantastisk frukost. Bra service både generellt på hotellet och med tips om aktiviteter och transport på ön.

Cons:

Lite dålig städning en av dagarna med en trasa kvarglömd på handfatet.
