Please note we are undertaking a partial renovation from October 2024 to April 2025. All measures have been taken to guarantee the comfort of our guests. Our restaurants and spa facilities will remain fully open.

Please note that children are welcome in the Fairmont Spa only between 14:00 and 17:00 from Monday-Friday, and between 10:00-12:00 and 14:00-17:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. They need to be accompanied by an adult.

Royal palace
Pros:

Such a beautiful hotel right in the center of the city. The location was amazing, and the room had one of the most beautiful views I’ve seen.

The room was spacious, comfortable, and the service was wonderful from the moment we arrived. The whole atmosphere felt so elegant and luxurious, it honestly made me feel like I was staying in a royal palace.

Beautiful room and spa at the Fairmont in Montreux
Pros:

Beautiful hotel with a beautiful spa and view. The weather was not in our favor so we spent some time at the indoor pool and spa. It happened to be a holiday week for the families in Europe so there was a lot of children at the pool but there is a quiet room for adults only if you so desire. we were only there one night but it was comfortable and beautiful.

Smoke on the Water, Snow on the Peaks
Pros:

There are hotels you stay in, and hotels you remember. Fairmont Montreux falls firmly into the latter.

The setting is magical—Lake Geneva in front, snow-capped Alps beyond, and a promenade that invites long, lingering walks. The staff, especially the interns, brought a warmth and sincerity that made us feel genuinely welcome.

Not everything was perfect. Our lower-floor room missed some of the grandeur the views deserved, basic toiletries were absent, and a ceiling leak near the entrance persisted for most of our stay despite being reported.

Yet somehow, the memories that endure are the good ones: jazz drifting through Funky Claude’s Bar, a superb “Smoke on the Water” cocktail in hand, and the timeless beauty of Montreux outside the window.

Imperfect, memorable, and easy to fall for.

Spectacular Alpine and lake views, warm and enthusiastic staff, and a superb location. Funky Claude’s Bar, live jazz and the Smoke on the Water cocktail were unforgettable highlights.

Cons:

A persistent ceiling leak and missing toiletries detracted, but the memories prevailed.

Pros:

Chambre extraordinaire avec vue sur le lac. Restauration de haute qualité et petits déjeuners fabuleux.
Expérience extraordinaire à refaire c'est un vrai Palace ! Il faut réserver pour le brunch du dimanche .... La encore une expérience extraordinaire.

Mi einem tollen Zimmer in einem tollen Hotel hatten wir einen sehr schönen Jahrestag. Danke dafür.
Pros:

Lage 1 A. Wir hatten bewusst ein Zimmer mit Seeblick gebucht, waren aber begeistert über das Zimmer mit geschlossenem Balkon. Zimmer insgesamt super. Das schliesst auch das dezente sehr freundliche Zimmer-personal ein, die sehr akkurat und professionell sind.
Die Belle-Epoque-Architektur des Hotels ist sehr schön.
Spa-bereich und Indoor Pool haben wir sehr genossen.

Cons:

Wir hätten gerne das Restaurant in der 1.Etage für unseren Jahrestag gebucht. Stattdessen im Jazz-Restaurant diniert. Das war aber auch sehr gut.
Also eine wirkliche Kleinigkeit, ansonsten gibt es nichts was uns nicht gefallen hat.

Perfect
Pros:

We stayed in a lake and mountain view suite no 404 for 5 nights. I cannot fault this hotel at all. The accommodation is beautiful and very comfortable, the staff are charming, the views are gorgeous, the breakfasts are amazing. Probably one of the very best hotel experiences I have ever had. My thanks to the staff and management for a fantastic stay.

Le lit d’appoint est vraiment très inconfortable.
Il n’a été fait qu’à 23h après 3 demandes à la réceptions… pas top de devoir relancer 2 fois pour un palace…
