Holiday Inn Express London City by IHG

I was moved to the Crown Plaza re maintenance work being carried out at Holiday in Express Old Street. Lovely hotel however this added 1hr each day for travelling over to Shoreditch on the tube which I was trying to avoid using. The hotel was clean however I was quite amazed that they only clean, replenish tea/coffee/water if you ask! this is not done on a daily basis.

Didn’t actually stay here, was moved to a partner hotel but have stayed on many occasions before and it’s great

On arrival, staff treated us in friendly manner. Rooms were very clean and has good vibs. All in all good value for money. Lot of places near by to eat out

This was ok, quite standard. The beds were not too great and the pillows uncomfortable, so I was unable to get the best of sleeps. Cleanliness was good in the communal areas and the rooms were ok. I assume due to lockdown the rooms don't get cleaned between stays. It's not a big deal, but it means things like cups aren't cleaned, there's not enough tea/coffee for the stay. I've stayed twice since the relaxation of lockdown, I'll probably try a different hotel when I'm back in a couple of weeks.

I liked how they was responding for any request very seriously and quickly! They have amazing services and excellent breakfast ! Housekeeping was excellent and location close to the city centre ! Friendly staff !

Sofa beds need improvement. Overall is ok. Close to station amd could go just about anywhere from there.

Hotel was in a great location beside underground. Hotel itself was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good.

The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The sofa bed is only suitable for kids as it was spring and not comfortable.

The bathroom was clean and modern and the shower excellent with brilliant pressure.

Staff were very kind and the kids were treated to a small packet of sweets after breakfast each morning.

Would recommended for great value and location.

Covenient for the Moorfields Eye Hospital and within 5 minutes walk of Old Street Underground Station.

Comfortable, convenient hotel & competent staff.

It was all ok, the staff were nice, the room was clean, the location is great. The only thing I found odd was that there was no cheese for breakfast!

Exactly as expected.

The room was tidy and the bed comfortable. The bathroom with a shower was very nice. The breakfast was tasty and there were some vegan options available.

The location was great, tube station and Sainsbury’s are right around the corner, and the neighborhood has amazing restaurants and bars.

Great location for Old Street tube station. Hotel is well presented with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are adequate for a family for a short break. Breakfast is included, busy but staff have it well managed and the wait is minimal.

This hotel is in a convenient location to the Old Street tube station, and is in an area of the city full of young people. The front desk employees were very helpful, and the breakfast in the morning is good. The housekeeping could be better but was sufficient. This is a good place to stay if you plan to be out exploring the city and want a comfortable place to stay but don't need a lot of amenities.

Great location and that's the only nice thing I can say about it. The staff were miserable. Nobody smiled. Cigarette smoke filtered into the room. The room we were given on our first night was just absolutely gross (like it hasn't been cleaned for months, especially the bathroom). The second room had a kettle that was dirty. The sofa was disgusting. And even though we were on the 4th floor we could still hear people on the street yelling, fighting or laughing, which made sleep close to impossible. The list goes on.

Basic really basic expensive only good thing was leaving in all truth its just a room, location great but better value elsewhere

hotel is very, very tired. Really expensive for what the experience is. Bed poor, rooms small with old decor. Location great, staff fantastic.

Great location but staff were rude and unhelpful.
Reception staff stood chatting about there commute to work while customers waiting to be acknowledged.

Clean, good location, good value and decent breakfast

Very good, only minor gripe was that after 10am the breakfast area had run out of several items.
