Die Lage des Hotels ist gut. Nicht weit vom Kensington- und Hydepark, dem Naturhistorischen Museum, dem Portobello Road Market etc. Das Personal ist super freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit - sie waren extrem bemüht und hätten für sich alleine eine 10 von 10 verdient. Das Zimmer hatte eine schöne Größe. Das Bett war an sich bequem - wenn man eine feste Matratze mag, wie wir.
Das Frühstück war für ein 4-Sterne-Hotel extrem überschaubar; am ersten Morgen gab es nicht mal Eier; Brötchen gab es gar nicht - nur aufgebackenes Brot mit einer harten Kruste. Das Hotel ist eigentlich schön, aber unserem Empfinden nach, ist es extrem in die Jahre gekommen. Das Zimmer hatte eigentlich eine angenehme Größe - ABER: Duschen ist eine Katastrophe - scheinbar reicht der Wasserdruck nur bedingt dafür, dass dieser in den höher gelegenen Etagen ankommt - zumindest dann, wenn mehrere Leute im Hotel gleichzeitig zu duschen scheinen - was man übrigens hört, weil die Zimmernachbarn genauso an den Armaturen herumzudrehen (es quietscht) schienen, wie wir. Kommt das Wasser an, dann ist das mit drei Handhebeln ein Glücksspiel, das Wasser möglichst nicht kochend heiß auf den Körper laufen zu lassen - hat man die Handhebel ordentlich eingestellt, dann darf man sich keineswegs darauf verlassen, dass diese beim nächsten Mal so auch sinnvoll eingestellt sind - es war extrem schwierig. Duschen soll, neben dem Reinigungseffekt, den dies mit sich bringt, auch Spaß machen - das war es nicht! Die gerissenen Fliesen auf dem Badezimmerboden erwähne ich nur am Rand. Fönen im Bad? Weit gefehlt - dafür muss man, weil kein Stecker dafür vorhanden ist, in eine fensterlose Kammer, die auch als begehbarer Schrank zu diesen scheint- dies ist zumindest merkwürdig - es ist aber wenigstens ein großer Spiegel vorhanden. Von mehreren Fenstern ließ sich eins öffnen. Viel frische Luft kommt hierdurch relativ wenig rein - geschweige denn, dass man mal ein wenig durchlüften kann. Die Möblierung ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen - egal, ob Bett, Sessel, Kommoden, Nachttische etc. - hierzulande würden solche Möbel nicht mehr genutzt werden - definitiv nicht in einem 4-Sterne-Hotel. Was aber gar nicht mehr geht, ist Teppichboden in den Zimmern - egal in welcher Hotelkategorie - Teppichboden ist schon extrem schwierig.

Great location just 2 blocks from Gloucester tube station, 12 mins from Earl' Court. Lots of restaurant choices, grocery close. Great breakfast buffet. Comfortable rooms, plenty of space. Quiet even though on a busy road. Staff very friendly and helpful especially Adriana at the front desk and Marta in the breakfast room. Delightful!

Despite being charged twice for breakfast due to a payment terminal error—which, in theory, was not the hotel's fault—I was waiting for the money back several weeks. Finally got it but... As mentioned also in other reviews problem with water preassure.
Great location from the underground. Nice size room, comfortable bed and amenities. Wonderful cool air-conditioning during the heat wave. Would recommend and would go back.
