Expected more from Holiday Inn - decent location and breakfast, grotty carpet
Pros:

Good location, nice historic building, public areas clean and nice decor, helpful duty staff member, decent breakfast.

Cons:

Carpet in room 304 was grotty and clearly not acceptable (ingrained stains, muck, wear. Many reviews note dirty carpets, going back several years. Please see photos this isn't scuffed carpet, it's dirt). The room is small and not like it appears in the booking.com photos (wide-angle lens?). The room cost £199 per night. For not much more you can do better. It was a little annoying to see that the same rooms in the Holiday Inn were being advertised on booking.com for £150 for that same night. We reserved the room months before but had to pay £199 to be placed in a room with a very grotty carpet (was this room held til last?). Finally, the 'city view' mentioned in booking.com description is a view of the row of houses on the opposite side of the road - it is not a city view. You only get that from the 5th floor it seems. So, we paid £50 extra and were put in a grotty room with no city view, despite having booked months before. Traffic noise was as you would expect on a busy road with single sash-glazing (listed building). Not great overall. Is this really a 3-star hotel?

Nagyon jó hotel, tökéletes néhány nap tartózkodásra.
Pros:

Könnyű megközelíthetőség, kedves személyzet,csomagok tárolása. Kis sétával jól megközelíthetőek London fő nevezetességei. Jó reggeli, tiszta helyiségek, tágas fürdőszoba és zuhanyzó. A vízforraló nagyon jól jött, bárcsak mindenhol lenne. Összességében nagyon jó hotel.

Cons:

Jó lett volna, egy kis hűtőszekrény és egy kis szekrény a ruhatárolásra. De pár napra megoldhatóak ezek a kisebb problémák.

Chambre propre - Qu'espérer de plus à Londres?
Pros:

On est à Londres, donc la seule question qui se pose est: la chambre est-elle propre?
La réponse est OUI: chambre, salle de bain et établissement propres, donc on est déjà soulagé d'avoir réussi à avoir trouvé ça.

Cons:

Comme je l'ai dit, si on arrive à trouver une chambre propre à Londres, on n'espère pas grand chose de plus.
Espace: OK, pas 1 mètre de trop dans la chambre, mais on arrive à poser une valise et à faire le tour du lit des 2 cotés.
Absence TOTALE de rangement. Il n'y a que 6 ceintres dans un coin contre le mur.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would stay again.
Pros:

Location was fantastic for a short walk to the Apollo theatre for a show we had booked. Breakfast was good. Shops, bars and restaurants were within easy reach. The hotel itself was clean, bed was comfy and the staff were friendly.

Cons:

The room was a little dusty in places, this could be from the open window (large window) for ventilation. This was also a little tricky to close. The carpet had a lot of stains unfortunately, which made us feel a little uncomfortable to walk on it barefoot, ended up keeping socks by the bed in case of needing to use the facilities in the night. (Room 127)

We loved Pimlico! Fantastic places to eat, traditional pubs, easy transport links. Perfect!
Pros:

Our family room was AMAZING, seperate beds for the three of us. We also had a small dining area which was great for games etc.
Breakfast was tasty- lots of choice. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. No problem with checking luggage in beforehand. Clean and modern, with traditional charm!

Cons:

Nothing - our stay was brilliant. Exceptional value for money.

Having lived for years in London in the 60,s,,I knew the area,,
I realise that a modern hotel,, aka 2026, , away from urban constraints,, can build a superb hotel,,to fit every modern wish,,
this renovation of a 'Regency ?' building, probably listed, in a road in Belgravia,,,has built in problems,,,
this comes through,, room small, which means double bed tight, 15 inches from window,,no real wardrobe, shower bathroom ok, but suffering from amateur silicone repairs, to shower unit,, done rapidly,,, with 4 floors and a lot of rooms,,can see a logistical problem to doing repairs daily with probably quick turnover,,,,breakfast did not shine, really,,compared with continental offerings,,, having live in France, for 35 years, have no idea what the other numerous hotels offer, in the same street,,,with the same logistical probems,,
a 2 night stay- achieved our goal,,

A brilliant place to stay and a peaceful environment to return to after a busy day.
Pros:

The location of the hotel was excellent with easy access on public transport to the centre of London.
The breakfast was also excellent and the people who organised the breakfast were a great team.
Everyone working in the hotel was friendly, welcoming and showed a willingness to help, if needed.
The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet.

Cons:

There is nothing we did not like.
