Decent location. Decent atmosphere. The room was subpar and the bed was horrible, very uncomfortable and very outdated. Mattress was probably over 10 years old. Bathroom was like a closet with a commode.
This hotel has fallen into disrepair. Besides the obvious maintenance issues noted in the pictures, the hotel overall has a very cold and esthetically unappealing feeling inside. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again, and I would not recommend it to anyone else.
Front desk staff is a highlight here! He was very knowledgeable, efficient at check-in, and attentive. Our king size bed was a pillow top in great condition. This location was average in looks and wear. Bathroom was nicely clean but layout was way too tight. Impossible to close bathroom door without squeezing beside potty. They only stocked us 2 sets of towels for the 2 of us. I prefer to not have housekeeping if staying two nights and have linens already supplied. Our room had hard floors throughout and a nice little kitchen/sink/mini-freg area in-suite.
Basic hotel with very mediocre service. See photo for state of bed AFTER you have requested them to service your room 3 times a day! If you can avoid staying here, then avoid it!
We were not greeted by the front desk upon arrival. We waited while being unacknowledged, for the person to look up from the computer they were on. When we went to check out the same happened.
Once in our room, the setting chair was so stained, that it was clear, I would not set upon it. The plank flooring was sticky and needed mopped. The bathroom was very small. The breakfast was stocked well and had good options. I would not recommend staying here.
Some colleagues and I stayed a night at the Holiday Inn Express in Fairhope while in the area for work. The rate was really good and we enjoyed having breakfast included. The hotel was clean, but it did miss the mark on some things. There was no hand soap in my room. Shampoo was in the place of the hand soap. There wasn’t even a bar of soap provided like at other hotels. I could hear everyone in the hallway clearly in my room which was disrupting. I did enjoy the comfortable bed. Overall, this was an okay stay for me for a night. I was underwhelmed compared to other IHG properties so I would not go out of my way to stay here again,
