Adequate, but not memorable.
Pros:

Location and reasonable price and has its own adjacent parking lot.

Cons:

Hard to get a straight answer to questions. Facility itself is quite aged and rather worn rooms, and extremely small.. could hardly walk around in room.

Pros:

Room was clean and rather spacious for a vintage hotel. Having a ceiling fan was a plus. The bed was quite comfortable. Location was convenient to campus and a short walk to many restaurants and shopping.

Cons:

The bathroom was small with a non-updated shower and tub. The front desk could not assign a double bed room until well past check-in time due to cleaning delays.

Great place for a weekend near Cal, Go Bears!
Pros:

Close to campus: great for coming to Cal. Also has Henry's restaurant/bar on site.
Had a Great delicious breakfast. Our top floor room was just as described, was quiet, and the beds were very comfortable. We will stay here again next time we are overnighting in Berkeley.

Cons:

Cramped parking area, so I am glad we were not driving a larger car, SUV, or truck: it would be difficult to navigate with something large. It was Not a problem for us, but should be noted if you arrive in a larger vehicle.

Concert at The Greek Theater
Pros:

We stayed at The Graduate in Berkeley for one night in October to attend a concert at The Greek Theater. Being able to walk to the show and not have to worry about parking at the venue or traffic was fantastic. The hotel is just a few blocks from campus and we enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. The rooms are smaller and the bathrooms aren’t updated but we enjoyed the character of this unique property. Every staff member we interacted with was very nice and seemed to enjoy being there. On-site parking is expensive but good luck finding a meter nearby. There are garages in the area that might be cheaper but not as convenient. We loved our stay here and would definitely return.

Great location and staff but needs a lot of work to rooms
Pros:

Stayed here for Berkeley winter graduation. Brought the graduate's siblings, my sister and her whole family. None of us were notified that the building was under construction. Restaurant was closed. Some rooms on our floor must've also been under construction as we heard jackhammers in the mid morning.

Mold under the soap dish in the shower. A sink so tiny two people couldn't stand close to each other and brush their teeth.

The lobby was very nice but the breakfast was overpriced. Not even a free cup of coffee in the am.

The front desk staff and the makeshift bar staff were wonderful.

Great hotel when visiting UC Berkeley
Pros:

The best located hotel with 3 minute walk into campus. Rooms are relatively small and not all rooms are upgraded but it is sufficient for short stay to visit campus. Staff is friendly and there is a daily voucher to use at the restaurant on premise.
