Love the Graduate chain of hotels! Fun decor, excellent location across from campus
Pros:

Love the historic character and decor. We could see the bay from our room. Rooms are on the small side but it's worth it for the fun decor and theming, and I liked the old fashioned bathroom. Breakfast voucher appreciated and large portions! Also they have good coffee in the room.

Cons:

Slow service for breakfast, need more than two servers. Also front desk staff at Graduate hotels often are "away"/on break, just a quirk I've noticed when checking in at several Graduate hotels. Not a long wait and friendly front desk staff.

Pros:

La esencia del hotel es muy acogedora y elegante. Nuestra habitación estaba super linda con muy buena vista de la torre del campus. Ideal para caminar por los alrededores de Berkeley. Los colchones super cómodos.

Cons:

Me hubiera gustado mejor ventilación de la ducha. Aunque estaba limpia y amplia no era exactamente la que se señalaba en fotos.

Academic journey in a nice place
Pros:

The personel was amazing. The room is quite ok, the bed was comfortable. The food was also very good.

Cons:

A little bit of allergies due to the rugs, but handable.

Adequate, but not memorable.
Pros:

Location and reasonable price and has its own adjacent parking lot.

Cons:

Hard to get a straight answer to questions. Facility itself is quite aged and rather worn rooms, and extremely small.. could hardly walk around in room.

Pros:

Room was clean and rather spacious for a vintage hotel. Having a ceiling fan was a plus. The bed was quite comfortable. Location was convenient to campus and a short walk to many restaurants and shopping.

Cons:

The bathroom was small with a non-updated shower and tub. The front desk could not assign a double bed room until well past check-in time due to cleaning delays.

Great place for a weekend near Cal, Go Bears!
Pros:

Close to campus: great for coming to Cal. Also has Henry's restaurant/bar on site.
Had a Great delicious breakfast. Our top floor room was just as described, was quiet, and the beds were very comfortable. We will stay here again next time we are overnighting in Berkeley.

Cons:

Cramped parking area, so I am glad we were not driving a larger car, SUV, or truck: it would be difficult to navigate with something large. It was Not a problem for us, but should be noted if you arrive in a larger vehicle.

Concert at The Greek Theater
Pros:

We stayed at The Graduate in Berkeley for one night in October to attend a concert at The Greek Theater. Being able to walk to the show and not have to worry about parking at the venue or traffic was fantastic. The hotel is just a few blocks from campus and we enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. The rooms are smaller and the bathrooms aren’t updated but we enjoyed the character of this unique property. Every staff member we interacted with was very nice and seemed to enjoy being there. On-site parking is expensive but good luck finding a meter nearby. There are garages in the area that might be cheaper but not as convenient. We loved our stay here and would definitely return.
