Comfortable hotel
The hotel is situated centrally in the town, they have a big and spacious compound. The rooms are spacious too. But hardly anything is well managed.
I paid for my reservation on Expedia and got my receipt. For some reason I got to the hotel one day before, the receptionist said it was ok, and had me pay in cash for a room before my reserved room was ready the next day. Next day I got moved into my room. I spent the whole day out, on getting back late afternoon I was asked to make payment for the room. I reminded them I made my reservation through Expedia and had paid already. They said they didn't receive any payment and in fact didn't do business with Expedia. I called Expedia customer support and as usual wasted more time than was necessary explaining the situation (Expedia needs to provide more effective customer support, these outsourced contact centers are so inefficient and mostly only make the situation worse) The agent said the problem was resolved and promised to send me an email to that effect. Not only did I not receive an email, the next day I got a call from someone who claimed to be a consultant with the hotel, this fellow threatened to kick me out of the room and have me locked away in jail and confiscate my property if I didn' make payment. Needless to say I was stunned and very uncomfortable and unsafe, all this because Expedia was not open and sincere about their business dealings. I eventually paid in cash and got Expedia to promise to make a refund.
