I always love staying at this hotel. The rooms are comfortable and have every amenity necessary. The location in Central Mountain View cannot be beat. The very best part is that this is a family run establishment and you will feel a sense of caring and warmth from the staff throughout your stay. It is a special place.

Went to see Dave Matthews Band at Shoreline. Only a 10 minute drive from hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Family run hotel. Parking only for hotel guests (very important to me). Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Hotel Strata in San Jose as a family, and our experience was absolutely outstanding. Our room was perfect – spotless, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. It’s clear that the owner has put great care into every aspect of the guest experience.

The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, from check-in to check-out. A special mention goes to Mr. Dilip Patel, the owner, who greeted us with a bright smile at breakfast and made us feel truly at home. He even gave a small gift—a doll—to our daughter, which made her morning extra special. Throughout breakfast, he kindly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, always with genuine warmth and care.

It’s easy to see how much this place means to him, and that personal touch makes all the difference.

If you’re looking for a clean, well-run hotel with outstanding service and a heartfelt, personal touch – Hotel Strata is the perfect choice.

Very Fancy & Beautiful hotel downtown Mountain view.7 min away from nighclubs & Restaurant

Only stayed for one night but it was excellent. Complimentary room upgrade caught us off guard, and the breakfast was amazing. Staff was very welcoming, attentive, and gave our toddler so much attention (he loves it). Will be back, highly recommended!

We stayed at Hotel Strata from July 18 to July 20 for a family visit, and our experience exceeded every expectation. This boutique hotel is a true hidden gem in Mountain View — combining luxury, comfort, and warm hospitality in a way that’s rare to find.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine kindness by the staff, who made sure every part of our stay was personalized and seamless. The rooms were spotless, quiet, and beautifully designed with modern touches and thoughtful details that made us feel completely at home.

The amenities were a highlight. The breakfast buffet was outstanding — fresh, well-stocked, and with a variety of high-quality options that far surpass the standard continental fare. It was the perfect way to start each day. We also loved having a Nespresso machine and a great selection of teas right in the room, adding a touch of comfort and convenience that we truly appreciated.

Another detail that stood out was the luxurious Elemis shampoo and conditioner provided in the bathroom. It's a small touch, but it elevated the entire experience — so much nicer than what most hotels offer.

The location was ideal for us — safe, quiet, and close to everything we needed. It’s clear that Hotel Strata puts a lot of care into making every guest feel valued, and that really came through during our stay.

One of the best hotels we have encountered in our many travels. The front office personnel were very welcoming, helpful, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are well constructed with state of the art furniture and fixtures. They are artfully designed for every comfort and the management has spared no expense in providing the amenities and conveniences we needed. The breakfast was great and the staff very friendly, seeing to all our needs. Having stayed in many hotels in this area, this will be our #1 choice.

Hotel Strata is exceptionally service-oriented, listening to the smallest requests to enhance your stay. Dilip made our stay smooth during a conference, providing transportation all day, recommendations, s'mores, and even his business card in case we got stuck in SF.

Room quality is on par with a Hyatt Place or Courtyard with elevated amenities like rainfall shower heads. The hotel is also a few steps away from high-quality grocers and about a mile from Mountain View's main strip, Castro Street.

The service and hospitality are outstanding. Rooms are spacious and updated and clean. The complimentary breakfast buffet has something for everyone. The location is good and within walking distance to downtown Mountain View. We will stay there again.

The staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Even though I arrived after the free breakfast time had ended, they ensured that I had a bagels and coffee.
