Wonderful family holiday, meals were excellent, pool and facilities very relaxing.
Great being right next to the beach and on the walking track by the beach. Lovely arrival gift, which was very much appreciated. Villa itself was nice. General area of the hotel was dated. Not really any restaurants in walking distance.
We left something in the room and contacted the hotel as soon as we arrived at the airport, but were unable to retrieve it, which was disappointing, as we know we left it there.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton Gold Coast
Needs a major upgrade - painting, carpets, all common areas and then the rooms - cracked tiles in bathrooms, towel rail half on wall, lifts not working on day 1 - very dated and disappointed compared to our experiences at Sheraton Port Douglas. Why would you drain lagoon areas during the busy school holiday period?
Rooms very very dirty!!! Pool was closed, we didnt eat, its very dirty again, I have photos to prove it, i even told the manager they decided to refund us back!!!!
The place is runned down!!! Short staffed!!!
Hotel was at capacity, which was to be expected during the school holidays. However the hotel wasn’t prepared. Over 30 minutes to queue to secure a table for breakfast; room not made up until after 5pm each day; slow poolside service and the property is undergoing noisey renovations which weren’t communicated on billing or check in
Hotel was being renovated
Great stay - we’ll be back
Beautiful family holiday location just across the beach gorgeous
The Sheraton's entrance, foyer, main pool area and our room were nice. However, the buildings and water areas were very tired, under construction and in need of love and attention. Pool and restaurant staff were not friendly and we waited 50 minutes for our ordered breakfast on the last morning to arrive in Terrace's. Overall, our experience wasn't terrible but not the standard or experience I expected from The Sheraton, it was disappointing. The location of the hotel and service in Pearl's was the highlight.
With a view of the sunrise over the ocean this was a trip to remember.
Excellent experience
Room was average, staff cleaned when we were not there ( removed our bottles and travel freezer bag we were using to store them). Area around hotel is being demolished so no store. Extended pool had dead bird and slime throughout. Level one fire door did not lock or close. It's like Versace's gone now the imperial so let's not take care of the outside...at all. Elevator would go down but not return so stairs were your friend. Poor upkeep outside you room. Will not recommend or stay there again.
The layout of the resort is really beautiful, the property is however starting to show its age.
Broken concrete, rusty screws, damages around the pool, the whole exterior needs a paint.
The room itself was quite lovely, however, fell short on cleanliness - dusty around the bedside table, bed, mirrors.
Chipped tiling in bathroom
Rust around curtains
Beds were hard and uncomfortable, pillows to thin.
The shower gel for the last 2 days of our stay was not refilled and dirty glasses left on the bar not cleaned during house keeping
The biggest inconvenience was the event that was on during our stay when the pool bar and area were not available - the event had their own catering so it was extremely disappointing that we had to walk from the pool area up to the bar to get drinks.
We've stayed around the world at some of the best hotels and I don't think this one deserves 5*
Fresh towels everyday and wonderful se
Paid full price however the pool was under repairs and no mention of this during booking also the restaurant view was blocked with frosted glass due to construction.
Dated and overpriced Need to lift their game Sheraton has lost its appeal
Beautiful and spacious room food was good and staff was kind
Very Nice
Thehotel is a bit outdated and staff are not that friendly. They don't tell you much about dining options and prices.
She did tell us about the Happy Hour between 4-5pm but didn't say how much per drink. We just assumed that drnks are half price or at least at reduced prize.
We had a margaritas which doesn't taste anything like it and a glass of red wine. When we checked out, we were charged full price. I asked the manager and she said oh its already at a discounted price because normally it's $31 per drink. So that means $26 for the margaritas and $14 for the wine. She said she'll check and will charge accordingly. They sent us an email and still charge us $40 plus credit card fee of over $3. I looked on their website and they normally charge $26 for a margaritas.
Thats absolutely disgusting.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all.
The service reflects on the very long wait for ordered drinks, in the bar especially but also at breakfast
