When you pay Taj prices, you expect top quality food and service.

We stayed at Taj Delhi for one night and honestly the experience was disappointing.

The breakfast was just average. The taste and overall quality of the food were not good. We also ordered dinner through room service and the food quality was quite poor, especially considering the high prices. We have visited many Taj hotels across India before and usually the food and service are excellent, but this time it felt far below the standard we expected.

Another small but important thing happened when we were leaving the hotel. We asked for a bottle of water before our departure. The staff said they would arrange it and even told the luggage assistant to give it to us, but we never received it.

It may sound like a small detail, but such things reflect the level of service. When you pay Taj prices, you expect top quality food and service.

Unfortunately this stay did not meet that expectation. Hopefully the management improves the food quality and service standards. 🍽️🏨:

Luxury, comfort and great service
Pros:

We did a one night staycation at the hotel and the rooms are beautifully done up - classy and with quality. The breakfast was really good - nice spread and good service. It was sweet for the staff to offer a hot foot soak to be sent upto our room (the soak itself feels funny - hot water and rose petals).

Cons:

Given the hotel was at capacity and possibly external guests as well, the breakfast was set up in a banquet hall as the restaurant couldn't accommodate everyone. This really impacted the experience and not what one pays for at a 5 star property. It felt quite ridiculous and I hope they figure a way to avoid this and not hamper guest experience.

Draußen an Pool Bereich ist es sehr laut und zu der Zeit war auch eine Baustelle dort, aber repariert und sanieren ,muss eben auch sein,....

Excellent hotel with wonderful staff and delicious food’
Pros:

The property is clean, inviting and well maintained. It is a bright property with lots of space for meetings, socializing or just going for a stroll. It is located in a very nice, clean and green area of New Delhi. The staff is exceptional, and the food fabulous.
