Hyatt Centric Chicago Ohare

One of the nicest Hyatt Hotels I've ever stayed in as the property was clearly renovated recently. Spacious guestrooms, bathrooms, and public spaces. Very well located across the street from the casino and a 5 minute van ride (very nice van) from the airport. The restaurant, CIMA, was delicious and the service was excellent. Overall the experience was top notch and I look forward to my next visit!

I had a 4 day stay for work. I have a travel card that I use for things like checking in, food, and ride sharing. Typically, I'm going to have around $1000 on that card, but I've been flying a lot so it was down to around $500 when I checked in. My room was covered, so all I had to pay for was incidentals. That was $200. But, then, they placed a hold on another unexplained $160 the next day. Then, the day after that, I had an additional $160 hold. After that, my card was maxed out, so they couldn't place another $160 hold, I guess. I never got that money released. I checked out nine days ago, and I really just need that last $320 hold released because I have to be back at the Chicago office on Monday. I'm starting to get worried that it won't be released in time.

Great experience. Newly renovated hotel. Rooms were extremely nice, lobby and dining areas were fantastic and great service. I cannot believe this is only a Category 2 property. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I was very pleased with the accommodations. My flight was diverted to O'Hare, and I was in need of a hotel. The reservations clerk took care of everything. Thanks.

This a really solid option when you need a hotel close to ORD. I’ve been a Hyatt Globalist for ~10 years and I cannot recall ever staying at the Hyatt Centric brand previously, but regardless of the brand, this is a great option, across any hotel chain.
I’ve stayed here a couple times and these are my impressions from the stays.

Pros:
-clean, modern rooms and common areas
- very good breakfast- service and food.
- great globalist recognition
-professional, well-trained staff
-excellent communication
- good airport location about five mins from ORD

Cons:
-no pool (not a huge dealbreaker for an airport hotel, even with kids, IMO)
-shuttle only runs 2x per hour for drop off, and per request, for pick up, but it is 24 hr., just a little less frequent than some larger hotels.

The staff

Good location off 294 plus near O’Hare. Room was very nice. For being close to highway it was quiet. Would stay again. Provided shuttle to O’Hare.

Place is very clean with modern decor and finishings. The location close to the airport and nearby restaurants is great. Service was excellent, especially at the restaurant downstairs (CIMA). Our host Pina was exceptional and breakfast on a morning was really good (the French Toast is some of the best I've had).

Breakfast too expensive and too much for parking. Everything else was great.

This is my first time to visit the US and Chicago. The people I met were friendly and easygoing. Your people were helpful whenever i had questions about the room amenities. Thank you for everything you do!

I loved how clean it was, staff was amazing, ( even the cleaning crew) it was beautiful, the price was really good I was surprised because how nice the hotel was. I will stay here everytime I come to Chicago if the room is available

I liked everything about the Hotel. It's xtremely nice, very cozy, very very clean. The staff are nice and welcoming! Do I recommend, absolutely! Would I stay here again, definitely!
