I would definitely look for an AmericInn the next time I travel.
Pros:

The breakfast was good, but the coffee was weak! Nice variety of options. The location was optimal.

Cons:

We all thought the morning coffee was weak. The elevator was slow. But everything else was great.

Okay for what it is
Pros:

It’s iron river, there really aren’t many options. The room was fine. Had some trouble getting the heat to be consistent at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they definitely get a 10 rating. Breakfast was fine, typical American items. They did have a pancake machine as well as a waffle maker. Pool and hot tub area were nice. Pool is very large and not too cold.

Cons:

It is very old and outdated. They do their best to keep it clean for what it is but the whole place needs a refresh. The electrical is actually a bit scary. Tried to plug my curling iron in near the sink and the plug just fell right out of the outlet. Would not stay at all! Plugged it into a different outlet in another area of the room and my iron just kept shutting itself off, I thought it was broken. At the next place we went I used it with no issues so it was definitely the electrical at the hotel. Seems like a fire hazard. The price of the room was high for the condition of the hotel. Again, the staff were super nice, but the hotel itself needs renovation.
