My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Great shower.
Such a cute hotel, nice rooms and I loved the breakfast area!
I truly enjoyed this stay! The check in/out was simple. The inside was a really cute layout !!
Hotel was clean, great vibe. But it was the loudest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It’s all open so you hear everything in the hallways, the pool area, the bar area. We hardly slept because of it.
Close to Allianz Field for MNUFC games. Pleasant check in. Beds comfortable. Not much near hotel but at the game so that’s ok. Parking is very limited and front door is around the building from parking lot which is t really convenient when it’s raining or carrying in luggage. Overall, nice property for our purpose.
Unique hotel design, but we enjoyed our stay. Very welcoming staff!
Immaculate Property and Nice Staff -- BUT, No Longer a Plus Property.
Do Not Stay Here If You Are Traveling Alone! Parking is very limited and overflow parking is up to 2 blocks away in an Industrial area. Ramp across the street was condemned and they have not negotiated with near-by businesses for adjacent parking. Some street parking.
Room 228 was lovely...until the jet propulsion heating engaged about two hours after we got into bed. I could hear it through my Bose Noise-cancelling headset. It was 60 decibels!
No other rooms available and could not shut off the fans. (i guess this is a new question to ask prior to check-in; can the HVAC fans be turned off?)
I ended up sleeping in my down jacket on the floor in the bathroom with door closed for our 2- night stay. Paid premium at $238/night for this.
While it is a nice property; It is no longer at Plus.
Ventilation vent had screaming kids from the pool area echoing into room and it was quite loud, room was quit a distance from pool. Parking was over 2 blocks away and that is no exaggeration. Front desk wasn't mean however, was very forceful in tone and would say things like "My room" or "My walls" but , when a customer in front of me was stating a complaint they would say I'll leave a message for the General Manager for tomorrow. Stayed at better for less. Building is unique though!
Loved the original train tracks and the train decor. Loved that it was so close to the zoo. Breakfast was good.
The parking situation at this hotel is horrendous. There is not enough parking to accommodate the hotel guests, we were charged $30 to park on a city street, and the “overflow parking” was 2 1/2 blocks away. The main entrance door locks at night and guests must use side doors for entry. The coffee maker is in the bathroom. We won’t be staying here again.
Very pet friendly. Close to UofM. Interesting historic property. Definitely plan on staying again.
Nice odd historic hotel, good free breakfast, parking (at best) uneven. Have stayed there repeatedly to visit family nearby. Just tried to book a room for early April (and, later, in mid May) ... the rate has DOUBLED.
Not likely make the $50 gift card worth anything at all, not likely to ever return.
Room was clean, they had poolside rooms, and the breakfast was great(except the eggs).
When you pull into the parking lot you think ugh this is kind of sketchy. Not the case this is such a cute hotel. I love how it used to be an old railroad depot. Rooms were great, service was awesome. Breakfast was like any other hotel breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel was charming. However, it is located in a part of of St. Paul that does not feel the safest. It also has very limited parking. Very enjoyable stay - great pool and atmosphere.
The hotel itself was great. The staff were helpful and it was quiet. The only issues we had were a lack of outlets and the beds were absolutely the hardest thing I'd ever tried to sleep on.
Loved the history of the building shown throughout the hotel
Stayed here several times, not quite as happy this time. Less seating than last time.
Thermostat only went down to 68. Tear in the sofa. Otherwise still a good value.
Charges twice. Still trying to get reimbursed for the double charge
Front desk staff were wonderful, friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
Hotel is very nice, quiet, and well maintained.
