Poor customer service.
Pros:

The room we received had a leaking tap in the bathtub, actually not just leaking but running. We requested that it be repaired, which was not possible until the next day. We then requested to change rooms which was also not possible because the hotel was full. We then requested for a partial refund which was also not possible. Impossibilities with little effort to accommodate this unacceptable situation. Suddenly we were offered a handicapped room with a queen sized bed instead of a king sized bed, not exactly ideal or what we had paid for! Dissatisfied with customer service!

Great place to stay
Pros:

Easy to get to the property, very clean, beds were comfortable with both firm and soft pillows. Lots of choices for breakfast. Many shops and restaurants close by. Coffee and tea available in the lobby.

Cons:

Can’t think of anything.

Pros:

The place is very convenient for visiting family in the Poughkeepsie area.
Breakfast was tasty and the attendant very helpful. In fact, most of the staff was very nice.
Our room was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed

Cons:

The place was somewhat dated and only had one elevator to serve multiple floors and lots of people, including it seemed, the housekeeping staff.
The bathroom was a little small and the shower curtain did not contain the water very well. Plus the toilet seemed to have to run a lot

Good value during week, but weekend overnight was pricey.
Pros:

Breakfast, large room, quietness, instant hot water, and fridge/microwave were appreciated and clean.

Cons:

a couple of crickets - one good sized - scared me. I killed it, thinking it was a cockroach and brought it to reception.

Good Value, Good Room, Noisy
Pros:

The room itself was fine. Good bed, good shower, good hot water. Bonus for Keurig in the room although Express Hotels now have higher end coffee machines in the lobbies as well. No issues with the room. Breakfast was always ready on time and excellent - lots of variety.

Cons:

Just know this was a a very noisy hotel! My room angled towards a very busy road (9) which meant loud traffic during the day and young racers at night. There was also construction just across the parking lot that started about 7:30am. Work crews stay here, so you get the beeping when parking at night. That also means breakfast can be extremely busy between 6:30 and 7 if you happen to be an early riser or need to leave early. For me personally, the overall noise was a LOT. If in the area, I think I’d try a different hotel. Others might not be bothered or ask for an inside room.
