I’m disappointed by Marriott

My room smelled like mildew I thought maybe because the room just need airing out the next day the smell got stronger. I called front desk I was told they are sorry and will have housekeeping to spray thank you and hung up. My room was 102 all night the rumbling noise I’m not sure if it was laundry but it was loud. A woman from housekeeping walked right into my room, she didn’t knock, she didn’t say housekeeping she just unlocked door and walked in. Her response was I didn’t think anyone was in here. Housekeeping had to have come earlier that morning to o guess clean the room but the bed was half made there was something wet on the floor that wasn’t cleaned up. My first night checking in I had lost the first room I booked so I was told that my breakfast would be complimentary I went to breakfast and had issues. I get that nothing is perfect and people tend to get frustrated. I expect to be treated with professional hospitality. I voiced my concerns and was treated like I caused the inconvenience.

I would return but would have to bring my own coffee and pillows.
Pros:

It was the perfect location. The staff was friendly, nice and showed great hospitality. The cost of the hotel was exceptional as well.

Cons:

For the cost, having brewed coffee for the guests should be included in the lobby. I was also under the impression that a free breakfast was included, at least that's what I saw advertised. The Starbucks in the lobby isn't a true Starbucks and wouldn't accept gift cards. The bed was hard and the pillows too soft. And, not under the control of the staff or building but guests were smoking pot in the hotel, or at least on our floor and the smell was both overwhelming and gross. Letters were placed under each guest door to stop those who were smoking.

Room was very dirty, there was hair and food on top blanket, there was a granola wrapper and clothing tag in pull out bed, tub had rust spots and did not drain. When front staff woman was told about the wrapper and clothing tag in pull out bed her reply was "thats weird"

Nice location but small room
Pros:

The location is perfect for us; the staff is very welcoming and nice, but the room is a little bit small for a family of four, and the bathroom does not have an exhaust vent (or broken). Our room was not ready when we arrived at 4 pm. I mainly chose the Marriott hotel for our family travel, but I have never had to wait in the lobby for our room to get ready.

There is nothing that I didn't like. I loved the cleanliness, the ease of getting in and out, the hot tub. The pool. The staff was very friendly. And the outdoor patio was amazing. I would give you 10 stars .

Ok, but location was disappointing given the name
Pros:

We had a balcony, unfortunately it looked out into the highway.
Room and hotel was clean. Pillows did have a strange smell though. Might be time to replace.
Staff were friendly
We thought the hotel would be on barefoot landing, due to the name, where we would be able to walk around barefoot, however that is not the case. There’s a rv park and such between the two places. That was disappointing.
Overall the hotel itself was nice.
Open space the lobby
Nice bathroom and shower.
Somewhat comfortable. The room has blackout curtains but the lights that light up the front of the hotel was outside the window so when you wake in the middle of the night you think it’s morning.
Overall it was ok, but not for $300 per night

Great North Myrtle location.
Pros:

Great hotel! Clean, and super friendly staff! Check in was smooth and easy. Room was clean and had what we needed. We appreciate the extra large bathrooms.
