The hotel is dated, badly in need of some TLC but the front desk staff members are awesome. Breakfast is à la carte and is sufficient though we would prefer the buffet. Housekeeping is good.
It was clean and most of the staff were friendly and accommodating.
Towels were provided at pool.
TV was easy to use.
Enjoyed convenience to light rail station and convenience to other restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, etc.
There was one staff member who I had tried to order breakfast with and had questions, but was having trouble communicating with and getting my questions answered. I was told one thing by one staff, but then she told me something else. Prices for breakfast were a bit much also. Situation was frustrating so I decided to grab breakfast elsewhere.
The pillows aren’t comfortable.
The toilet clogged up and I barely used it!
Shower curtain doesn’t keep in water very well, so water splashed all over the floor when I took a shower. There were puddles everywhere in the bathroom floor—even by the toilet. Also, the shower squeals.
The windows must be really thin because I could hear the cars passing by on Alderwood…and I was on the 4th floor.
I got a room very very far away from the elevator and since there was no trolly available to carry my stuff up with to my room, I had to carry my stuff w/o.
The hot tub was more lukewarm than anything, could have been warmer.
Not the worst experience, but not my favorite either, especially for the price.
The room that we booked did not exist when we turned up. The hotel promised a refund but they are not responding to emails, and neither is booking.com. Complete scam.
Staff was great. The accomidations were clean and comfortable. They were also great with our small dog.
The Bistro was a little overpriced but the food was good.
I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in Lynnwood, WA last Saturday October 19th with my son. Early Sunday morning, before checkout, I briefly used the hotel hot tub for 5–10 minutes to ease some back discomfort. No one else was in the pool / hot tub area at the time.
Less than 48 hours later, I developed a severe hot tub rash (Pseudomonas folliculitis) as diagnosed by a physician. This is caused by poorly maintained, contaminated water and a lack of chlorine or proper sanitation on the part of Marriott Hotel. My body is now covered in a painful, itchy rash, including pus filled blisters, which requires antibiotics. My pictures (available) attest to this. In addition, I have experienced fever, nausea, and migraines this week and have had to take time away from work and spend hours getting medical attention. There is a possibility of scarring to make matters worse.
The most disappointing part is the hotel’s complete lack of response. I have called twice on 2 separate occasions asking to speak with a manager and received no call back, despite being promised someone would be in touch. Thursday I contacted Marriott corporate, received a case number (753 887 367) and am still waiting to be contacted or acknowledged. It is a full week later and I still do not know if they have even addressed the lack of cleanliness in their pool/hot tub.
I am sharing this review to warn other guests and to urge Marriott to properly inspect and sanitize their hot tub facilities. No guest should suffer a serious infection and then be ignored afterward. Highly disappointed.
This hotel is very clean and has a lot of amenities. The check-in process was seamless, and the room was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and courteous. This hotel is a good option, if hotels in Seattle are not available. It’s located approximately 20 miles north of Seattle.
I stay at this property often while traveling for work. My stays have been excellent.
The only location that we use when in Lynnwood.
Great location for us to visit family in apartment building right next door. We had the train to Seattle in walking distance so we didn't have to fight traffic into the city. Room was clean and comfy. Area was great.
Amazing service . Great location . Friendly staff. Very affordable price!
Our room was clean, spacious, and convenient to the light rail. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Great place to stay when in the area
Roofing noise and Fire Alarm testing was annoying...but other than that a thumbs up place
The staff is always friendly and efficient. Check-in is a breeze. This last stay, they were repairing the roof which limited parking, but it was only a small inconvenience
Great stafff. Very friendly.
Convenient for link light rail. Nice staff.
Very accommodating
Clean room
The stay was Okay.
We really loved our stay at this hotel. The staff were excellent and friendly, the facility was really clean and the room was spacious. We loved the fact there was an indoor pool and hot tub on site as well. It was convenient since the link rail is across the street, making our stay really easy to navigate Seattle. I request a crib for our room since we were traveling with our 8 month old, and the crib was easy to set up and was already in our room before we got there. They also gave multiple sheets which was appreciated.
The only feedback I’d give is that the rooms could use an upgrade or refresh to match the modernness of the downstairs entry/breakfast area. The rooms seem a bit dated, however the mini-fridge and microwave were perfect for our stay. The bathroom doesn't have an exhaust fan so lots of moisture in our room after our whole family had showers.
The 12pm checkout was really appreciated since our flight didn’t leave til late and so that gave us extra time in our room to relax before making our way to SeaTac.
We will 100% stay again and would recommend the hotel.
location
Room was clean but hallways and elevators were damaged and a little dirty
