Perfect last night with granddaughter before moving her into her college dorm
Pros:

The interiors all look newly remodeled. Our room and beds were perfect. I was VERY pleased that I paid a slight upgrade charge for a room with a water veiw. We overlooked the harbor/lake/and the night lights in the water were beautiful. Location was a 2 minute walk to restaurants and shops. ALSO, very close to Carthage College!

We would not stay until a renovation has taken place, except to charter a boat
Pros:

Bed was comfy despite the sheet not fitting. Shower pressure was good.

Cons:

The sink has fallen away from the top, trim in the BR was pulling away, the reptile job had trip hazards, needed more shower gels, soap and towels that are not see thru. The floor in the hall is tired.
I walked in with my cane and we were still given bad directions to the room, and we were not offered a closer room.

The room was stained all to hell, we had no hot water for a good duration of our stay, the pool and hot tub were DISGUSTING and in desperate need to be cleaned, a majority of the staff was unhelpful and just shrugged off our complaints/worries, especially about all the unruly and extremely rude guests that destroyed the weight room and fought in the halls until 1 am and they did nothing. Our ac system didnt work, our bed was uncomfortable, breakfast was subpar, and for how much we spent, it was extremely disappointing. We used to love staying here every year, but now we don't think we'll be back. It's extremely unfortunate.

The harborside portion of the hotel provides a beautiful view of the lake, which is why this was my 3rd stay at the hotel.

Cons:

Maintenance of the property is definitely lacking. During my 2nd visit, the white bowl portion of the bathroom sink fell down from the brownish counter portion. They had to move us to another room. During my recent 3rd visit, rainwater poured onto the floor of several of our rooms. Other tenants had the same problem. They provided "towels" to soak up the water. But, because of my stopped up sink (not the one previously mentioned), they gave me a city view room and charged me the price of the more expensive Harborside view. The lady at the desk failed to issue the credit as we discussed. There were tears in the curtains (rm 303). Broken tiles at the "C" entrance. The safety latch was missing (rm 308). Basically, I've observed that the property has had a significant decline in its upkeep. I don't think I'll be visiting it again.

Really sucky time at Wyndham Garden Kenosha, WI
Pros:

This hotel was in the perfect location for what we were doing but the positive ends there. Had a lack of soap and towels in the room at checking. No coffee pot in the room. No USB ports for charging. Are you kidding me? Hotels internet is really really slow. We were there for three night stay and later the second day had not had any room service. Went to the front desk and was told that they only do room service every other day. On the third day we returned to the room but still no room service. Went to the front desk only to be told the maid staff was done for the day. Had quite the trash build up for the itty bitty trash can so I had to find another bag for the overflowing trash can.

Smelly weird vibes
Pros:

I went on a solo trip to celebrate my 30th birthday. DO NOT BOOK. The lobby smelled like cat pee, the staff was not very friendly, the room itself felt dirty and very off. A lot of holes in the walls to the point I was concerned I was being watched. Just bad bad bad vibes. I ended up checking out after 2 hours and cancelled my entire trip. Not how I wanted to spend my birthday.
