Lackluster, staff people telling you what you want to hear and a horrible breakfast.

The pool was clean and warm.

Cons:

The Heater in our room didn't work correctly at all. The staff said it was due to the extreme cold temps and they couldn't do anything about it. We tried to use the second Heater in the room and that one didn't turn om/off the thermostat wasn't working and the room was either way hot or way cold if you turned it off. Talked to staff again. Sorry can't help you was the result.

We booked a suite at the Holiday Inn in Oshkosh so my daughter could have a birthday sleepover with a few friends and enjoy the pool. Shortly after the kids arrived, the manager approached me and said the hotel doesn’t allow birthday parties. I explained that I work as an Uber and Lyft driver and regularly transport high school and college students to and from events at this hotel, but he said he didn’t believe me.

While I can’t prove anything definitively, it seemed the issue arose when he saw a large group of Black guests arriving. The parents were simply dropping off their children, some of whom were later picked up, and yet the staff’s demeanor shifted noticeably. At one point, their tone also changed when they noticed my “Veterans Against Trump” bumper sticker. While they made some accommodations, it felt more like fear than a genuine desire to help.

As a combat veteran and small business owner, I expect respectful and fair treatment wherever I go. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet that standard. We will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this hotel. Service should not depend on race or political views, and the treatment we received was disappointing and unprofessional.

Good location for Packer getaway
Pros:

Breakfast limited choices, however good. Close to highway. Places to eat and shop nearby. Lambeau Field and Packer Hall of Fame fairly close.
