I reserved through Booking.com one night on September 4th 2026 a room at the BW in Watertown NY.
Cons:

I reserved the Best Western in Watertown New York only to find the BW was in Wisconsin. The receipt only indicated Watertown with no state designation. I've stayed in the BW in Watertown NY many times before at roughly the same time of year and never had a problem. When I arrived, I found that the hotel had changed ownership and I had no room to stay in after 8 days in the wilderness in Northern Quebec. To add insult to injury the women behind the counter lied to me and said the hotel had been a Spark for over 2 years. I stayed at the same hotel in August of 2025 and it was a best Western.
Is this what I'm to expect from Booking.com in the future? I would like to get my payment back from that was used for my non-stay at the BW in Watertown Wisconsin.

We were comfortable and it was nice and clean.
Pros:

Location was easy to find. Breakfast good Room clean.

Cons:

Tv set for free mode. Us older people don't know how to get through all the steps to get there so was not able to use tv. Would like paper maps of town

Clean, comfortable and always well cared for hotel. Staff is great.
Pros:

Staff is always helpful and welcoming
Breakfast and coffee excellent
I stay here 2 to 3 times a year when visiting this area

Cons:

Hotel and staff were excellent
Going thru Booking.com did not allow me to use discounts.... I am AARP member, This hotel also has a bereavement rate - our group had 7 rooms for a funeral. Those who went direct to hotel were able to apply discounts. Booking.com did not allow this option.
